Hmmm, I dunno. I was riveted to the screen.

Say what you will about the witch, she has good taste in architecture. That A-frame would do great on Airbnb.
“(I hear this is where the Ted Bundy one screwed up)“
To be fair, the Ted Bundy movie didn’t “turn him into a charismatic psychopath” as much as it acknowledged that he was a charismatic psychopath.
That might be a possible motive for choosing this approach, and I get your frustration. It is, in that sense, awfully convenient. But I see some merits to the choice too, regardless of what motivated it, because I really think focussing on the complicity of the support system is a lot more interesting/potentially…
Yeah, it makes no sense at all that two different movies could each use a similar plot device and yet somehow it works in one movie and doesn’t work in the other movie.
**Hyperbole Alert!** If any of the Avatar movies take the crown away from Endgame as the highest grossing movie, I am going to flip so many tables. People will be like, “What happened to allthese tables?” And then they’ll see me, eyes bloodshot and foam frothing from my mouth. I’ll whisper “Avatar” and then commence…
C’mon, this totally makes sense. Cameron’s version of Aquaman, starring Vinny Chase and Mandy Moore, was much better than the one with Jason Momoa and Amber Heard. It has around 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.4 on IMDB.
imagine defending the honor of fucking aquaman
Avatar had two things going for it: Being the first movie Cameron wrote and directed since Titanic, and being the first major (read: non-horror, non-animated) 3D release. Curiosity about “Why has he been absent from the industry for over a decade?” helped drive people to the special effects bonanza, curiosity about…
hell, I thought all that and more when I saw it the once & only. unoriginal, mediocre cast (even Sigourney was so-so), and sorry but the CG was not impressive nor groundbreaking. Matrix was 10-yrs earlier than Avatar and I still find those EFX less schlocky/gimmicky than the crap Cameron was peddling.
People will go hate watch Cats for the lulz
Can we not?
Like Endgame, it has such audience investment in the story to bring people into the theater!
The only logical sequel for Avatar is 120 minutes of orbital bombardment exterminating the Navi.
Cameron also did Dark Fate.
Cameron also went on to mention that the tickets will be $3,000,000,000 and he will be seeing it on opening night.
Also: Avatar is such a shlocky piece of shit film, and the only reason it made money is because the spectacle of the special effects. That level of special effects has been surpassed, and isn’t likely to be surpassed again by his NEXT white savior retread.
we already have hit our quota this week for scary sexy kitties with creepy dick-tails (whoo-oo) thanks Jimmy Frank. Why does he want to come across as so noxious all the time?
That’d be a shock. Avatar has had no real lasting cultural impact and the novelty of experiencing the original is long gone.
What an impossibly intolerable asshole this guy is. I hope this thing makes less than Cats.
