Nick Cage is doing just fine, see: Mandy.

Crowing? Over the nightmare coming soon to a theater near you?

That movie terrifies me.

They fucking love getting paid is what happened.

But...... CATS!

Counterpoint:  it’s pure shit, one of the worst if not THE worst “live action” remakes Disney has made.  It misses everything that made the original great, and yeah, it something akin to watching your beloved Grandma being brought back to life as a zombie.

Whatever happened obviously occurred on the set of Face/Off...

I’ve seen around 175 movies from 2019 and I can say with confidence that yes, it really is.

Yeah, that angered me way more than the Joker inclusion. Jacob’s Ladder is an absolute classic horror.

Are you the Angry White Guy(TM) or the parody of an Angry White Guy? Poe’s Law and all that...

As I never tire of pointing out, a lot of us have, in fact, seen a lot of movies coming out between now and 12/31. There are some that haven’t screened yet, but really only a few, which is not really any different than oversights that might happen in the first 11 months of the year, especially so far as “worst of”

Thank you. That film is so unique and so effective at delivering on what it sets out to do. Story, acting, effects, cinematography are all amazing. Danny Aiello as a blustery guardian angel?  Hell yeah!

The only dialogue in the movie is those three yelling, “Well, actually” over and over at increasing volume.  It’s meta as hell.

Yeah, the Variety list seemed to really irritate some people, I guess because they were really choosing from mainstream/wide-release movies and not a full spectrum of crap, which I get, although it’s also not great to ONLY pick on tiny indies. So a lot of people say, look, don’t do worst-of lists at all... which I

I have no idea why, but for some reason I see this picture and I think “this is 2019 in a nutshell”. I don’t know what it is. Maybe the frustration, lack of care, feeling of being too old for this shit, apathy, being pathetic... there’s just so much going on here.

I love the concept of a studio head seeing Jacob’s Ladder and thinking to himself “I can remake this and make MORE money with it by toning down the elements that made it a cult movie!”

How did we spend so much time talking about this one?

Dumbo was so bad, I completely forgot about that one.

You don’t expect complaints on Twitter, or you don’t expect AVC to stoop to putting out a worst-of-the-year list? (Either way, I have some bad news for you!)

And why doesn’t Batman dance anymore?

Exactly, what story can they tell with the 25th Bond that they haven’t told in the previous 24?
