At one point Papa had a Volvo 960. I liked that car plenty. Boxy Volvo goodness with those windows, and, when Dad pegged the gas, the engine sounded like it was auditioning to star in an M6. Very nice. (That one was silver with black interior.)

Straight six, straight sexy, man!

Alfa Romeo 164 L with the 5 speed manual and only 67,500 miles.

This is the correct size and engine for a sedan.

I'm sorry, but there is NOTHING classy about the CTS-V.

Needs more poofy velour.

Front bench seats and column shifter. You know why.

Imagine such a lovely car driving off with tacky turbo noises all over..

I always really liked the original SL65. A luxury convertible with a practical roof and that powerstation of an engine upfront, even more impressive if we remember that it came out in 2004.

I disagree. The current one doesn't do anything for me.

Alright, I'm breaking the rules. It's on Autotrader, not eBay, and it's $900 over budget, so sue me. But hear me out, because this 1977 W116 450SEL 6.9 is everything a Mercedes should be. Big, safe, fast, high tech, luxurious, understated, cooler than hell, and black. You can't not look awesome . My god this car is

2005 CL65 AMG. Because you can never have enough torque

Mercedes-Benz W116
The first S-Class and the first truly "modern" car.
It it has electric seats, electric mirrors, multi-channel ABS, seat belts, self-leveling suspension, shoulder belts, airbags, head-restraints, bolstered seats, and the placement of the headlights and taillights of pretty much every car made since

Mustang.

You found an AMG Hammer for fifty grand and you're not trumpeting it from the roof-tops?!?!?

1.) Good freaking god those headlights need to be properly cleaned/polished.
