It all seems rather pointless though anyway, CP or not. 5.7 Limiteds are a dime a dozen and weren’t even top trim. The Overland is the model you want to be shopping for.

Nothing wrong with the turbos, now the seals on the lines to the oil coolers or spun bearings from a lax oil change schedule, that’s a $10,000 sub-frame-and-front-axle-removal service.

I feeling like a Porsche today.

I think conventional wisdom is that you save up and when the time comes that you HAVE to pull the engine, you elect to have everything done. Water pump, coolant temp sensors, starter motor, torque converter, timing chains, all of it.

A twin-turbo, M275 V12 powered, W220 S600 which I have wanted since I was ten years old. I have had it for 18 months, and it is pretty much exactly what I expected.

Why is Wake Forest your number 2? We only started winning this year. As a student, I can tell you we have little faith in our new found ability to win even a couple games.

Then let me educate you, both engines were available at one time in W220/C215 chassis. The W220 was made from 2000-2006. From 2000-2002, pre-facelift, the car was powered by the 137, a vastly inferior engine which will always make cars with it less expensive which is why they are always cited as the “cheap” example.

Oh, I know. I want one soooooooooo baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

The torque converters go on the W12 too. The engine has to be pulled for everything...

Every time some idiot shits out one of these lists, the W220/C215 they pull out of their ass has a M137 5.8L V12. You can get a M275 twin-turbo for $10,000! I did, and one of the few things I don’t have to worry about is improper cooling and ovaling my cylinder bores. These lists have literally 0 research put into

I actually just got back from running errands and parked the twin catalytic converters of my V12 Mercedes over a big pile of leaves in my parking lot! Of course it would be a blessing in disguise if my car burned down, but I digress...

I’ve heard there is money in garbage...

A 2004 Type 57 still commands $50,000 on the low end.

Good gravy, that’s NOTHING!

I seem to recall reading somewhere before I bought my S600 that the traction control isn’t actually capable of doing anything helpful over 75% throttle due to the earth moving amounts of ungodly torque. I have not tested this as I would like to keep whatever is left of my rear main seal in one piece.

Now hold on, those DOHC 24V badges on the Taurus/Sable do serve a purpose.

If I dyno’d my S600 and held it at the redline my rear main would probably explode in a beautiful shower of 0W-40.

Now playing

The overlap damage literally just stops at the firewall!

You know I agree with you 99.99% of the time and practice what you preach whenever I can.

Is that top picture your garage?
