Gettin’ real tired of old white men telling me what is and isn’t feminist, in general.

Gettin’ real tired of old white men telling me that a female character has to be “troubled” to be strong...

I despise the term “bernie bro”. Maybe because it’s meant to disparage people like me.

If you followed Bernie Sanders’ resurgent campaign for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in even a cursory way, you heard about the scourge of the “Bernie Bro.”

Would Bernie Bot suffice?

“Is asking a woman who has studied CS about her opinion on why she thinks so few women study CS sexist?”

My great aunts who went to Baltimore during WWII and made fucking bombers. They came home after the war and couldn’t get men to give the jobs doing anything but sewing.

I know! It’s not like there was ever a huge movement for women into the hard-labor jobs!

Considering how badly women who speak out about sexual harassment in tech is treated by other techies, I really doubt it.

In hunter-gatherer societies, the men did the computer programming, while the women did the customer relations and school drop-off. That is just science.

that’s because if it had been published by a woman, it would have said something like ‘women are just as good at coding as men and should have the same opportunities here at google’.

He wrote:

“Women can’t do math” is not an “alternative viewpoint.” This isn’t “if you lower taxes, more jobs will be created.” It isn’t even “women and men have some differences.” This is “I dislike efforts to expand opportunities for women because of these bullshit rigid gender stereotypes.”

Sexism is not a valid political

I wouldn’t use such a hyperbolic word as “diabolical,” because let’s face it, that’s giving this jackass way too much power, but declaring that an entire group of people are biologically incapable of doing your job (along with the implication that *you* are superior simply by virtue of your sex) is pretty bad, IMHO.

You know, it used to be common knowledge that college women just couldn’t perform academically in the the stem fields because of some “innate genetic difference”.

I think the suggestion that women are more emotional and can’t handle high stress jobs is sort of rich coming from a person that wrote a 10-PAGE MANIFESTO about HR.

I remember speaking to a greek friend about why it took so long for women to get the vote in greece. He said that it was blocked at first based on the idea that people should only vote based on rational thinking and that women, seeing as how they menstruate, have several days a month where they would be unable to

The text refers to “diversity” programs and one of its major proposals is essentially to eliminate those programs. “Anti-diversity” is a reasonable term for that stance.

The only echo chamber at work here is the one between this guy’s ears....
