Eww yeah I bet that was very irksome.
Eww yeah I bet that was very irksome.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s 100% stupid as shown I agree. I just find it’s exclusion worth discussing.
Amazing Spider-Man has a deleted scene where Osborn’s number 2 reveals that the reason Peter had such easy access to the spider lab is he saw him, saw his resemblance to Richard Parker, intentionally left the lab open just to see what he was up to, and he knows Peter is Spider-Man. The Lizard then kills him.
Wow, I didn’t know Ramsey Bolton taught medicine! (Laughing through the tears here, people)
Well then let me say this. Sansa’s whole journey has been about being at the very edge between being influential and being influenced. She’s been able to use the skills she’s learned in King’s Landing to manipulate the lords of the Vale. She thinks being with Littlefinger will keep her in a position to be…
Before I respond, may I ask, do you read the books?
They’re basically stuck in a rebuilding period after the events of the last two seasons. And I’m not willing to call it unsuccessful a few episodes into the season.
(Warning for those who need it: discussion of rape scenes in storytelling)
That is absolutely not what I’m saying about the show, and I don’t understand how you got the idea that that’s what I’m saying.
It isn’t exclusively about abuse of power. BUT it’s a pretty big fucking theme. Tommen, Dany, and Prince Martell are all struggling with how they’re power should best be used this season. And saying stuff like “Raping women — whichever one’s handy, doesn’t matter, it’s not like characterization matters in this epic!”…
It’s not brutality for brutality’s sake. It’s the natural progression of the story. It’s what Ramsey would do.
To be fair, that’s a pretty typical complaint of the section on the books they’re adapting now sooooo I don’t know what you were expecting.
Ramsey rapes Poole in the books. They’ve rolled Sansa into her place because Sansa is out of story. So saying, “She’s not raped in the books” and “it doesn’t make sense in the story”, as if what happens in the books at this point should have anything more than the slightest bearing, and as if Ramsey woulnd’t rape his…
Oh lord. Just stop. You’ve been watching Game of Thrones for five years and this is the thing that does it for you? How’d you make it past the first episode? What did you even think this show was about?
Chelsea Clinton isn’t the Clinton Foundation’s problem.
“None of us remember her being funny,”
“...will obviously fit the style and look of the film (and DCCU films in general).”
He wouldn’t have done it out of sheer pettiness and spite.
I hate it when people talk about evolution as if it’s a conscious choice on the part of the species. Why would they waste all that effort on males? Why waste all that effort carrying live young, why not just lay an egg? Why waste all that effort on being a multicellular organism when you could be a bacterium? Why are…
Sure thing, buddy.
