Of course, putting him back to zero, a "rock bottom", if you will, gives him a chance to find the middle ground and actually develop as a character. And we have a 3 hour film to develop that change here, so I don't see why you need to bring the comic into it.
She probably isn't, director's don't usually sign up like that. She might have a 3 film contract with Universal, in general, and they'll shuffle her to some other projects. But if it really is that antagonistic they won't keep her on the franchise.

I don't know about that. A character who keeps getting told "One person can't be trusted with the power you hold, submit to oversight." Then, that character helps creates the greatest threat the planet's seen so far. Probably large numbers of dead civilians, plus a dead Avenger to bring home the emotional aspect.…
