Grinding out levels in Icebourne in the slog to MR 200.

I swear, I was super excited during development because there was all this talk about “a true endgame” (re: guiding lands) and as soon as you unlock it and learn how it works, it just feels like a punishment game, lol.

Every unlock/story mission is layered behind

*whole, no wjole.

goddamnit keyboard, lol

Gleipnir isn’t a furry anime by any stretch of the imagination.

It’s body/psychological horror. The monstrous forms people take on are (largely) based on their subconcious self image. In Shuichi’s case, without getting too spoilery /w late-story details, his monster form transformation into a horrible cartoon meat-suit

their whole backend is EXTREMELY badly designed/implemented. You can’t even blame it on it being “a Japanese game”. it’s just not a good system whatsoever.

The worst is that XIV’s account management subsystems are like.... LIGHTYEARS better/less convoluted than those that drove FF-XI. Playonline was a distinct special

plot twist:
those aren’t sardines, but canned Garma Zabi instead!

They’re fantastic as a quick/low thought power meal. you can eat them with vegetables, in a sandwich, with tamago gohan, etc. My partner’s big a big fan of the kipper snacks, though her fav is tinned Saba in soy sauce. that stuff is incredible

Brian my dude, just change that title to “mecha masks”. There’s a single RX-78 mask, the rest are just a pilot mask from Votoms (w/ a scopdog in the background) & a ye olde Go Nagai super robot mask.

Getting caught up w/ my partner in MHW:Iceborne ^_^

For anyone complaining about the price, what you need to understand is that what you’re paying $$$ for is quality. In the realm of animu figure collectors, generally speaking, 50$ for a nendo is a pretty average price leaning more toward the cheap side, when the more ‘deluxe’ versions can run upwards of 80$+. Figmas

Godbert Manderville from FFXIV, without a doubt.

A CURSE UPON YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

My immediate thought was “Oh hey, Neopets...

I convinced 5 of my friends to pick up Monster Hunter World for PC while it was on steam sale a few weeks ago, and so my partner & I, who bought the game at release last year, have been helping them through the initial story quests since none of them had ever played a MH game before now.

I decided I would try to learn

Like.... a full decade after the fact, I STILL cannot see mention of ‘Halo: Reach’ without immediately thinking of that stupid Egoraptor animation:

Naruto had some genuinely excellent fight sequences (some of my fav key animators were involved/got their big breaks w/ that show), but I dunno about a statement like “some of the best fights in anime”. It was good for a weekly shounen show, but it wasn’t all THAT, esp. when we’re talking about a Studio Pierrot

Yikes. I knew they were taking a CG route, but after seeing what studios like Orange (Houseki no Kuni, Beastars) have done with full CG as a storytelling medium, this looks... terrible

These are all great replies, thanks for the information! Both my partner and I are super excited. My only regret is having to wait for the PC release >___>

Attn: Heather,

something I haven’t really seen addressed here (or really anywhere else): how do the new monsters fair against hunters who didn’t stop playing after clearing MSQ but have been grinding HR + AT Elders for the past year-ish? like... let’s lowball and say for people around HR 150+?

How competitive will the

I feel like it’s just extra icing on an already cringey and weirdly shaped cake.
