This is analogous to cameras.... for years it was how many megapixels.  Then it was how high you could crank the ISO.

No idea why people have/had a problem with sync. I have gen 1 in my ‘10 fusion and gen 2 in my ‘15 explorer. Never had a problem with either of them. Bought both brand new.

Reminds me of a girl rear ending me in my dad’s 85 F150 when I was a teen. Her toyota was all fucked up, had to be towed. As for the F150, it knocked out a $7.32 license plate light.
