Usually I ignore comments like this, but you’re seriously complaining about a writer, who is the reporter on “Investigations & Technology” according to his byline, for doing his job and writing a story about an investigation at what is considered the most technological car company.

That was clearly a low budget job, which I guess worked out for the better. If BL had been willing to spend some real money, they would have redone the whole front end in black polyurethane.

Living in the Portland area, I’m actually not totally opposed to this idea. I think the solve the I-84 issue, I think they should only knock down the section of I-5 going from the southern terminus of I-405 to I-84. This essentially leaves a short section of I-5 still standing that would then become then be re purposed

Fair enough.

They had surreys at the Toledo Jeep Fest last year. Totes adorbs.

I remember when these things were all over the road, albeit in the r/w/b livery similar to the one they use today. The didn’t look too out of place, either. I imagine if you saw one on the road today it would draw much attention.

Add I-375 in downtown Detroit to the list. Completely unnecessary highway. And too boot, they basically built it just to be racist - it completely wiped out the historically black neighborhood of thriving businesses, and has never had much traffic.

Judging by the price difference from the 2-Door to the 4-Door it would be around 30k for the base. With 3k in options, yeah, that’s doable.

Jeep,

This looks a lot more proportional than the Gladiator. It looks proper. I dig it.

It does no such thing. This system heavily incentivizes companies to work and improve their emissions because if you fail you end up subsidizing other car companies that exceeded the emissions requirements. So it’s simultaneously a punishment for companies that don’t meet it and a boost for companies that exceed it.

Not really. If inefficient manufacturers pay ev manufacturers, ev manufacturers become more competitive, can sell their cars cheaper, and so sell more efficient cars.

Its all the much worse designs that have come later that make it seem not so bad in retrospect.

Yes, and it also needs to be based on a sports or GT car, or at least have some sort of sporting pretensions. This is just an ordinary 2-door estate, not a shooting brake.

Vent man is not pleased:

Guy up the street from me when I lived in Corvallis had a 2nd gen RX-7, and an RX-4 wagon.

This looks like a smaller, better proportioned, and IMO much better looking Bavaria:
