I’m confused that people ever thought that the aformentioned Becky was a white woman. I always assumed it was a black woman who was white-adjacent, or light-skinned, but people really thought “Becky with the Good Hair” was white?

I keep telling y’all that Becky with the Good Hair is not a white woman. Black people do not describe white women’s hair as “good hair.” The “Becky” part is actually an insult to the person she’s describing, in my opinion. Its not that I didn’t like that you’re not boycotting. You listed reasons, and I didn’t understand so I asked about them. If I had known that it all was going to basically boil down to “Whatever, I can do what I want, hmph!” then yeah I might not have bothered.
