I was idly wandering around the centre of Canberra, Australia, one morning when a windowless van pulled up. The driver opened the door and...suddenly, ninjas. Pouring out of the van, running, screaming, doing flips off park benches. They were handing out fliers for an Italian restaurant.

There are some peak Negro-ism moments in film, and this is one of them.  Risking your life is no big deal, but how DARE you take away my honor!  Sigh...

I love it too. But it’s not a great movie, thought it’s a “great” movie, if you catch me.

It’s one of the greatest mediocre movies in the African-American Cinematic Theater canon.
