What makes her so goddamn sexy in that role is her shyness and embarrassment mixed with her ardor. If she had been a sexually aggressive femme fatale it just wouldn't have been the same.

I freaking love The Big Easy and was disappointed that it wasn't even mentioned. Barkin is sexy as hell, Dennis Quaid is in maximum charm mode, and they have a natural, easy chemistry together. Plus, there's a great supporting cast with Ned Beatty, John Goodman, Grace Zabriskie and Lisa Jane Persky. And Gailard…
