Gene Rayburn was a saint.

If you wanna ride
Don't ride the pink horse

That was my first thought when I the words Soul Man. I was like, they turned that into a TV show? I completely forgot about the short-lived Ackroyd vehicle.

It's not that he needs to so much as that he just likes to.

"So Jake. You're out, you're free, you're rehabilitated. So what's next, what's happening, what you gonna do? You got the money you owe us, motherfucker?" is a good one. And that was from memory, so I think that should give you an indication of my fandom of this movie.

You shut your motherfather mouth!

"No, Mayor Daley no longer dines here, sir. He's dead, sir."

Does anybody else find the droll way that Blue Lou says "Chicken wire?" absolutely hilarious?

It's been noted in several different comment threads. But yeah, a major oversight IMO.

Fucking Chicken Chronicles, motherfuckers!

I know I have the DVD but it was packed way somewhere hard to get, and I got such a jones to watch it after discussing it that I bought it off iTunes. Sadly full frame, though.

What makes her so goddamn sexy in that role is her shyness and embarrassment mixed with her ardor. If she had been a sexually aggressive femme fatale it just wouldn't have been the same.

I freaking love The Big Easy and was disappointed that it wasn't even mentioned. Barkin is sexy as hell, Dennis Quaid is in maximum charm mode, and they have a natural, easy chemistry together. Plus, there's a great supporting cast with Ned Beatty, John Goodman, Grace Zabriskie and Lisa Jane Persky. And Gailard

Say it, don't spray it.

Cut! It! Out!

Asphinctersayswhat?

As good as we can be with Showtime, I guess.

Seriously, where does Showtime get its movies? They show movies that you've never heard of ever, yet with big-name stars. "Up next on Showtime, Slippery Joe and the Toadwater Conspiracy, starring Russell Crowe, Naomi Watts, Paul Giamatti and Anjelica Houston." I'm like, WTF?

Yay! Now I can watch Akeelah and the Bee anytime I want, anywhere I want!

She explains the grade, but it's a bullshit explanation. Knock it down to a B because those who never saw Breaking Bad won't get as much out of it? Who's watching this show that never watched BB? I'd like to see that demographic.
