Three of these comics, Toxic Avenger, Darkman, and Men In Black are Marvel. They take place outside of the 616 superhero continuity, but they are still published by Marvel.

Not the absurd amount of money that Netflix spends on one or two big-name projects, leaving nothing but scraps for the original shows and movies that make up the bulk of its content? Okay, good.

I do wonder if this was part of the general purge of content or something more specific. Didn’t it come out that it was some sort of an open-secret that the “Archewell” brand isn’t exactly doing all that much in delivering content what with Spotify bringing in staff to try and get that podcast that did like one…

I don’t really know if it’s so much of a joke as it is a reference to the song of that name by the Plain White T’s.

In my experience, the last one is free if you’re a good customer. More than once I’ve been poured a lot more than I was billed for “to finish the bottle”. In a Jewish restaurant in Paris long ago (yes, that one - long gone, sadly) they insisted I finish the bottle of vodka “for good luck”. 

My favorite was Australian Rules football. No idea what the rules are. The scoring appeared to be a variant of Calvin Ball with two different scores going at the same time. All I know is it seemed like most of Australia was in the stands and would go insane if some guy in a pure white outfit pointed with both fingers…

Wow. With the exception of Community (no opinion), you just listed some of my absolute favorite shows.  That was a tough run!

In fairness, his last few years were really just him trolling the audience and seeing how indifferent he could be while still getting paid.  Man was bored out of his mind.

I, quite literally, grew up watching (and LOVING) Letterman, but, I don’t know, after experiencing Ferguson, I’ve got to say: the time of that same-y, staid, not-quite-honest, performative talk show host format had gotta get gone.
