Final Fantasy has been a mix of sci-fi and fantasy since Final Fantasy 4. I guess you want an FF1 and 2 style return? I guess bc so much of the series, for me, has been couched in some mix of sci-fi and fantasy, it’d be hard for me to swallow an FF game with no airships... or flying vehicles in general I guess.
