It’s amazing to me that for as enormous as this movie was at the time and as huge a cultural thing it was, it seems to have left really zero mark.

To be fair, I don’t exactly have my finger on the pulse of the entire internet, but at least from the places I’ve been, you would not be in the minority.

I am not seeing the secret part of it.

Oh, I absolutely agree, there. I’m pro-qualification in this context. I just think that qualification is (or should be) the start of a longer conversation.

I haven’t had this, but I can imagine the pepperoni-stuffed crust being just kind of dry and thick without a dipping sauce. But then, I come from north-central WV, where any convenience store has a selection of pepperoni rolls from multiple local bakeries (enough to do one of those ‘ranking’ articles for the site,

I’m going to sound like I’m being cute here, but I’m not — I think there’s always an interesting debate to be had (though not in the comments section of the AV Club) as to whether “corrupt” or “broken” is more appropriate to the system, or at least aspects of it. Which parts were made with good intentions and have

To be fair, half the point of MST3K is finding the cheapest licensed content possible.

I dunno about Wingstop, having never eaten at one, but there’s a local wings and Tex-Mex chain that has a dipping sauce that’s a 50/50 mix of bleu cheese and ranch that’s quite good.

In my experience, not that I’ve been in one in a couple of years at this point, the stores tend to be pretty comfy to lounge around and get some writing done with a laptop or whatever. But that’s about it. Maybe the pastries are decent. Aside from that, I’m also in the “tastes good but needs to be 25% bigger and

He probably has done that, though it’s possible that at some point he’s been on other medications that aren’t interesting enough to be called out in an article like this, or he’s just pissed off enough doctors or insurance companies to make it hard to keep a consistent prescription. But best case scenario, he was

The article says he’s been prescribed it “at different periods in his life,” which one could take as the implication that they caught him taking it when he wasn’t supposed to.

If his AMA is any indication, he’d probably be the “Hi, I’m Nic” sort. Like, he wouldn’t need to introduce himself but he’d do it anyways to be polite.

Yeah, but they’ve all been only 6 episodes except for WandaVision, and the first few episodes of that were shorter enough than the rest (enough that the run time probably evens out, I haven’t done the math).

There’s an interview that suggests that the show is intentionally doing its own thing and not be fanboy red meat (as you artfully put it), and that the people working on it are enjoying playing around in a little bit of ‘free space’ carved out for them. Which suggests we’ll probably only get a handful of references to

I think the pizzas and wraps are one of those things that individual stores/regions can carry at their discretion. Like how around here only a few places actually carry the ‘Seafood Sensation.’

As someone who barely tolerates most fast food fries, I’m totally onboard.

Sbarro’s been a staple in the food court in the mall that opened when I was a kid, so it’s always kind of been there when I needed it. It’s never great (though I do admit a fondness for their meatballs), but it’s always had that comfort food quality for me. (Though that said, I’ve spent very little time at the mall

In my experience, ‘can unironically introduce self as an influencer without seeming embarrassed by that at all’ is a red flag.

I can see them making the concept work as a limited series or something like that, but not as an ongoing show.

Sadly, that usually works.
