The nearest White Castle to me is a 3-hour drive, so forgive me if you get the sudden sensation someone is shaking their fist angrily in your direction.

In LTBC’s credits scene, the symbiote specifically says “hive knowledge across universes,” emphasis mine. They’re sensitive to the multiverse in the comics, as well.

I’ve always suspected that if not for that outburst, his career probably would have quietly languished in near-obscurity.

I think it only counts as multiverse masturbation if they’re much more clearly multiple versions of the same Peter Parker (in other words, played by the same actor), as opposed to alternate Peters Parker.

Beautifully put.

I can absolutely see Kevin Kline, especially back then, playing a Star Trek-style starship captain (or an actor who’s made a career out of playing one) and doing pretty well at it. But I just can’t see him carrying that faux-Shatner energy. There are certainly other actors who could do that (Bruce Campbell could make

Yeah, I think we can collectively let her have, like, one actual flaw, especially one that’s probably going to have a limited shelf life.

Maybe it’s because I’m an Old, but I’d personally question any restaurant review where the food was provided for free. Because for me, it’s not just a matter of “is it good,” but also “is it worth what they’re charging.” I’ll pay $20 for a burger if it really is that much better than a $10 burger. I really don’t think

It doesn’t. I managed to find some of these in a store and gave it a try over the weekend. While I didn’t hate it, the above review of “flat soda, but intentional” is pretty accurate.

My fatigued brain initially read that as “family friendly clown” and for a moment I was very confused.

Unlike the official review, though, this one talks about why the movie is good. It talks about the metaphors and issues the movie uses and tackles, respectively. It’s not just “Asian cast good” over and over. I feel like a deeper examination of the subject of Asian representation in film should be its own thing

Honestly, the way you put that reminds me of when Cracked devolved into just lists of links to articles from 7 or 8 years ago.

I’m pretty sure you can’t, but I can tell you it’s as good as it sounds.

Now I’m wondering how long until Binging with Babish is going to do this recipe and compare it to Andrew’s own interpretation.

Three pounds is how much Babish used when he did his own recipe a while back.

To be fair, a lot of celebrities seem to be able to get by just keeping their heads down for a year or two without incident.

I’ve found the Mandarin twist holds up better on rewatches, even before Shang-Chi came out. When the movie came out, they’d put all this hype into it — The Mandarin is responsible for everything, it’ll be like Star Wars where we don’t actually see the Emperor until the third movie, etc. — and then you meet Trevor.

To be fair, in the comics, at one point Tony actually makes a superpowers app and gives it to a city full of people. Also, at the time, he was evil (because of some alignment-reversing handwavium), which is why they get a one-day free trial before they have to pay. (I’m probably misremembering and mangling details, I

It baffles me when I see people losing their minds over the Wild Cards announcement, like George is personally taking his time writing and drawing the comics and this isn’t just a licensing deal. Like, I get when people joke about it, like in the headline, but there are people actually pissed about this.

I feel like this might work a lot better as a movie the way they’ve got it described, rather than just rebooting the show and trying to make it work. My only real complaint is that Rocko’s Modern Life beat them to this sort of setup and I legitimately have trouble imagining Beavis and Butt-Head (even at their best) doi
