Once I fell asleep with the TV on and when I woke up the channel had changed and the movie was playing and I literally woke up just in time to see that line.

In a setting where there are easily a dozen different Pikachu-shaped Pokemon with different types and distinct abilities, I do wonder if there’s a reason why they created regional variants for the old Legendary birds rather than just adding more to the roster.

My roommate used to work at a McD’s, and he said that from what he saw, the reason why the ice cream machine was constantly down is because there was only one guy in our region who was qualified/certified to repair and do maintenance on it, and that guy was personally responsible for the ice cream machine upkeep on at

I do get him. Still find him not funny.

I found this episode a pretty big letdown compared to the rest of the series. It felt really rushed, like we got 2/3 of one episode and then the last third was a mishmash of two half-finished episodes. It feels like a lot of stuff was glossed over just to set up the reveals when Ji-ah connects Tic and Christina, and

I cannot tell you how many times I have opened the door to see the delivery person still standing there, or still within six feet of the doorway.

Yeah, this is something I read about in a comic some years ago that took place in the 50's, though I questioned the veracity of it until I saw references to it popping up elsewhere. I’ve never tried it myself, though the peanuts and Coke float combo sounds tempting.

Back in the day, you’d write to Marvel about that and get a No-Prize for your efforts.

I really miss being able to go and hang out at Starbucks, or even a Sheetz. Not to socialize, but because my house just gets too distracting and I have trouble working there. I mean, even as I type this, I’m supposed to be doing revisions on a freelance writing assignment.

And then there’s the coffee shop that’s got a little bookstore in it that has its own teeny tiny little coffee bar inside.

Ah, I see, that I didn’t know. Thanks.

Ah, okay. I didn’t watch the whole panel, just the trailer.

I felt that as well, though it’s possible that as a promo they might’ve taken a lighter touch on the animation with this to get it out in a timely fashion. Especially if said human characters are one-offs for the trailer and they’re not going to do a version of this bit in the show itself (which I’m assuming for the

Fair enough regarding Tom. Though I know at one point the BBC’s deal with JNT became “stick with the show for now, and we’ll let you do whatever you want for your next project” and he proceeded to pull a ‘Rachel Phelps in Major League’ to try and run it into the ground so he could move on to said next project. Though

I didn’t really mean it was a cash grab like that, but more of a “hey I’m related to Bruce Lee so my opinions about him are more valid” type thing.

I’m not sure whether I’d love or hate to be a fly on the wall when she discovers that a woman asserting her sexual agency is likely to be viewed very differently than a man doing the same by her GOP colleagues.

Well, the lawyer just read a newspaper article about how she likes to sleep around, maybe he figures he has a shot.

To be fair, I think there are about a dozen better options they could have gone with if they wanted to do a plot with a missing portion of the Doctor’s life and/or some ‘lost’ regenerations. I think the retcon would have been easier to deal with if the episode itself hadn’t been so crappy.

I think a big part of why Baker was running on fumes was because of John Nathan-Turner taking over the show partway through his run. Tom’s openly talked about how awful it was to have to work on the show under his tenure, and that he probably could/would have kept going if not for that.

Huh, never heard of Culver’s before. And a quick googling says the nearest one is 3 hours away, so that explains a lot. Is it any good?
