It’s funny how people remember to use “Mary Sue” whenever we get a GOOD female protagonist in a story in order to criticize her, but completely and conveniently forget about “Gary Stu” on all other occasions.

While sci-fi/fantasy and tech may be a common interest between Niners and whatever the Giz folks call themselves, judging from the overwhelming number of anti-science folks out of the grey over there, I’m thinking science is not.

To be fair, he’s completely incompetent. So he’s not just looking at the base costs and/or the small hotel set-up fee, because he ignored the problem until it bit him in the ass.
