This is awful news to get first thing in the morning.

It's only a matter of time...

Hmmph. Damned hippies! If you can't chew the air you breathe, it ain't healthy.

No problems with sassiness or condescending put-downs for people who try to justify hate and discrimination with an old book. I just don't want them to stick around, is all. ;)

Ugh. Think before promoting the pink. :P

I think (and correct me if I'm wrong) that it says specifically you can't mix the cheese made with the milk of an animal with the meat of that same animal. Also, if you were to slap some bacon on that badboy, the universe would probably implode. Oh, wait. It hasn't. I guess it's okay.

bjvogel, you're going to be tempted to take all of these responses and treat them as evidence that you're not being tolerated. You'll want to see yourself being persecuted for you beliefs. You'll probably want to entertain the notion that those who protest discrimination and hate are the ones doing the attacking.

Indeed, AWESOME, Star Wars dad. Replying to promote.

Jealous that your race-car bed doesn't stack up? You've got bed envy, haven't you?

The cute - it's painful!

The Tony and Loki dresses are my favorites - very cool.

I think he was saying that very few scenes in the movie come from the book. And it seems as though it was said in a petulant, passive-aggressive sense, which might account for the confusing way it was phrased.

"Bullshit —> Loki Did It".

I got hooked on Florence + the Machine ever since I heard "Kiss with a Fist" on Community.

Funny - I would have thought the naked-children-in-the-locker-room scenes would have been the hardest parts of Ender's Game to do. Or have they scrapped that bit? :P

Hmm. I knew there was a reason that I hated this movie.

It's ma'am, actually - and I love the film. I love Bill Murray. But really, the Top 10 movies of the entire century encompasses a lot of really great films, and I'm just not seeing how it makes the cut. Top 20, absolutely. No question.

I stopped taking Stanley Fish seriously after I read his Top 10 movies of the century. "Groundhog Day" is good, but it's not Top 10 good.

Oh, I will web-search everything when I have the means. I don't carry an internet-connected device with me all the time, however, and anyway that's useless when someone is relating knowledge that is experiential rather than empirical.

I do this more than I care to admit. I'm trying to get better about admitting gaps in my knowledge, or about staying quiet and learning when something I know nothing about is being discussed.
