Irrational numbers don't make sense to me. Does that mean mathematicians are raking in the cash?

Insssssuficssssssient fundssssss.
I like how Zoe makes clever use of the Earth's gravitational pull. ;)
My god, you're right! ;) We should just give a gun to every kid and let them shoot it out.
Cats only obey the laws of physics on their terms.
I'm going to stand with you.
And allows the strong to become even stronger. Then it's fun with escalation.
Agreed. There's a lot more common purpose than most people think, and unfortunately the issue is so divided along "Us" and "Them" lines that no real progress is being made.
I'm curious - how do you define "anti-gun nut"? I'm not a gun owner, and I think that there could be better enforcement of the laws that we have and restrictions put in place that we don't. At the same time, I'm against banning guns altogether, and I certainly don't care if responsible people want to own them.
"The most firearm-friendly libertarian and gun-control centered politician can agree at least on one fundamental point: the need to keep guns safe and out of the hands of unprepared kids."
I'm actually enjoying the second series quite a bit (and props to you for your patience - I like the first series so much that I splurged on the hardcovers). The Kane Chronicles are kind of enjoyable, but just not as much. The second book in that series was clearly just marking time until the next one.
What care we for romance when we can see the awesomeness of Asgard? That stupid romance plot wasn't for the ladies. Thor himself was enough for the ladies.
My conviction not to see it in theaters is wavering also...
There's no such thing as being too old to enjoy any book whatsoever. If we all stuck to reading what was "age appropriate", what fun would that be?
That movie was one of the greatest disappointments ever. My friend wore her NY Yankees cap when we saw it opening night (she's blonde and blue-eyed), only to find that nay, there wasn't even a Yankees cap anywhere in the film. God I hated that movie. I'm really digging Riordan's second Olympians series so far,…
"And here, on the left, you will see another fossilized shonisaur installation, again by the artist known only as Cthulu - who specializes in mediums like the remains of once-living creatures, and the sanity of mankind."
She died running into the street to get a ball for children who were (apparently) too smart to run and get it themselves? Couldn't they have her die from exhaustion after tending night and day to some child victims of whooping cough? Perhaps heroically diving in front of a cop about to be shot by a robber? …
BWA HA HA HA HAAA! I love it. Does "too violent and mentally disturbed to go to jail but fine to release into society" Daniel Craig get together with "my incompetent husband's incompetent assassin killed an entire family by mistake" Naomi Watts at the end? Because that would just be awesome.
I think you may need to re-read the article. The author says that she only showed her daughter Starfire's re-design. She did not have her read it. And I'm not sure how this new take on Starfire allows people to understand her more, unless it allows them to understand that her purpose is to pose in a bikini.
Great article, Charlie. I agree 100% - and you put it much more eloquently than I would have.
