As is the right and responsibility of any indoor cat. What does sleep matter when there's catfood to be had?

While I appreciate pictures of adorable kitties in almost any context, I do have to point out that I have never met a cat that had difficulty sleeping when it wanted to.

Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of Smaug? HOW AWESOME!

My favorite meta episode is "Changing Channels", thou "The Monster at the End of This Book" is a close second. "The French Mistake" seemed to be very inside-jokey, so to someone like me who's not deeply involved in the super-fan conversations and culture, a lot of it went over my head.

No, but the frosting and sprinkles sharks were along shortly after to finish the job.

With ketchup.

This reminds me of the cookie-cutter shark, which actually tried to eat Navy submarines. Okay, not actually the *whole* submarine, but they were taking bites out of the boots on the sonar equipment, which is still an impressive amount of damage considering cookie-cutter sharks are only about two feet long, tops.

The worst part was that at the time I shared a room with my younger brother, who had this stuffed dinosaur which looked like E.T. when lit by nightlight, so the terror continued even at home!

Yes, but does it COME BACK TO LIFE just when you were thinking that all was well?

I have to disagree with you, Analee. E.T. is mind-bogglingly terrifying. At least he was when I was five years old. This alien, no matter how scary, will be a cakewalk in comparison.

This reminds me of the article io9 posted about exploding pistachios.

It would be interesting to see Jimmy again. I always thought that "The Rapture" was one of the best episodes of the fourth season. But I don't think that you can argue that Cas is "family" if Dean and Sam have never really treated him as such. Good friend, yes. Ace-in-the-hole, definitely. But family?

I'm right there with you. And here's hoping that his inevitable destruction comes about as a result of some major redemptive badassery on Castiel's part, because I'd really hate for his death to be a ho-hum culmination of one of my most favorite characters ever.

I have not, nor will I, ever swear not to use these. They're just too good. Also fun are:

Many commentors have pointed out that Jim Beaver's not a regular, either, and yet he popped up all the time (which is awesome!). So that's not necessarily an indication of how often Misha will appear, but will hopefully better serve the storyline of the plot. One my least favorite things about this season were the

But if you *could* stand on the surface of a neutron star but had no access to transporter technology, the neutron material is so dense that there isn't a physical tool that could extract any part of it, is that correct? Wouldn't it be like trying to pick up a boulder with cotton candy?

That's a really intriguing idea! If they introduce enough of the aforementioned tight-laced agents, the writers will have plenty of people to kill off instead of focusing their character-cidal tendencies toward the ones that are actually interesting and fun, like Rufus and Balthazar (still bitter). And then Sam and

What I'm hoping will happen is that Cas ends up rejecting his power because he realizes that freedom isn't possible when there's a force that has and uses that much power. Why would you allow people freedom when you can *make* them be good? Of course, this doesn't mean that Sam and Dean will welcome him back with

That sounds much better than what I was thinking. Cas seeking his own redemption really would be an awesome storyline. I just hope that the show doesn't forgo that opportunity to give Sam and Dean more time to whine about how Cas betrayed them or whatever. They weren't exactly coming up with any alternative better

I think if we can forgive Sam and Dean for starting the Apocalypse, we can cut Cas a little slack, too. "Cross lines that can't be uncrossed?" Come on!
