No cephalopods for me, either - I just can't eat animals that are that cool.

Birds and snakes and aeroplanes?

Oh, come now! It's much easier to believe that a huge body of collective knowledge that has been studied and tested and rests on overwhelming observable evidence is the work of a world-wide multi-generational atheistic conspiracy! If it weren't, then we'd be forced to consider that some moldy generational records

Well, at least the world won't end before I get to see the Supernatural season finale.

I would agree that this isn't in character for Dean if he truly thought of Cas as a brother. But think about it - if Sam were the one dealing with Crowley instead of Cas, then Dean would feel angry, sad and betrayed - all of the above. But his reaction would be "I have to save him." Not "I have to kill him."

Like Misha or not, the way he's contributed to the character of Castiel can't be ignored. He went from "Who is this guy with the gravelly voice?" to being my favorite character on the show, and last week's episode clinched it. Sorry, not on board with the wishing-death-for-Cas thing! ;)

Oh, why not? He went from calling Cas "brother" to threatening to kill him within a space of two minutes! ;)

I can't remember which season this was, but Sam had that Ascended guy randomly hanging around in her basement, and Jack and Tealc stop by. Tealc had rented Star Wars (again).

Kill him off now? When he's demonstrated that he's easily the most interesting character right now? And he's died twice already! Give him a break!

Nuts to you! He won't release the long-form birth certificate because it would reveal that he did not, in fact, have a father! Instead, his mom was knocked up by Force-microbes, which makes him ineligible to be, um, the Emperor's executive assistant, or something.

Yeah, but we can't take Vader's word for it. I mean, we haven't seen his long-form birth certificate.

What kind of bear is best? ;)

You beat me to it! They're godless killing machines, I tell you!

Trying to muffle snorts of laughter at work is embarrassing! But I loved them all.

I'm calling bullshit on Dean's "You're like a brother to me" thing with Cas. If it were Sam in this position instead of Cas, sure - Dean would be angry, sad, and disappointed, but his reaction would be "I have to save him." Not "I have to kill him."

Now that sounds like a party! ;)

I agree completely. If - as Dean insists he should have done - Cas HAD come to Dean when Rafael instructed him to submit or die, what would Dean's response have been? Based on his attitude toward Heavenly politics and concerns in the past, and all throughout this season, I find it likely that Dean would have said,

I wish that we had seen more angelic interaction in Heaven (it was by far the most interesting part), and less of Cas being sneaky and spying on Bobby and the Winchesters. I feel that they really could have tied this season more firmly to the fourth and the fifth seasons if they had expanded on the history that Cas

Of course Cas' deal with Crowley is going to go from bad to worse. That's how demon deals work. But I'm interested to see if our naive, quiet little angel isn't so easy to con as Crowley thinks he is. Cas has been around, and I'm sure that he's learned a thing or two. And now he has nothing to lose, since Bobby

Okay, Dean. Sam. Bobby. Who here has NOT had bad dealings with a demon? Anybody? All right then.
