I'm a little tired of the Evil Slut angle the writers seem to take on all of the evil female characters. Couldn't an evil female character just do her evil business in a straightforward, professional manner? With sensible shoes? So in the first scene, Eve could have said, "Look - I'm the mother of all monsters and

Does the study also support reading io9? Because I do that...

*But what about Matt's HAT, Charlie?* As soon as I saw him wearing it in the previews, clutching Emily's hand and running away from the men in business suits, I thought "There's no way the hat isn't somehow tied into the plot." Why else would he be wearing it?

Rock Punchgroin! Big McLargehuge! Bolt VanDerBeef!

"Kill you in the face" is now my new favorite line. I'm going to have to start saying that to people and watch them struggle to figure it out. ;)

Whoa... You know, compared to the mythology that the extremely nutty fans have cooked up about the actors, the problems you and I discussed about the season five mythology seem small in comparison! ;)

Can you explain to me how that was funny (in the inside-joke way)? My understanding is that Jared and Jensen are good friends. Are the crazier fans worried that they might be on the outs with each other?

I did like the episode, but there were quite a few moments where I was thinking "There's a joke here, I know it. What could it be?!" For example: when "Jared's" wife was going to an "otter-adoption" event and they had an alpaca in the backyard. Surface funny, yes, but I don't know the context - is she an animal

The acting scene was my favorite part! With Jensen Ackles acting like Dean acting like "Jensen Ackles" acting like "Dean", and Jared Padalecki acting like Sam trying to act and not look at the camera - it made me laugh pretty hard.

How rude! I admit that I think the slash references in the show (and the io9 recaps) are funny, but not intended to be taken seriously. Some people obviously have way too much time on their hands (she says while commenting on the internet). ;)

Why the hate for Jensen's wife? Is it jealousy?

You know when a good but not super-close friend invites you to dinner with his or her *other* friends? You know, in a vague sense, who they are, but you don't know them well at all and you haven't even met some of them? You still have a good time, dinner is going well, and for the most part the conversation is

That sounds great! I'm also surprised by my level of excitement for tonight's meta episode. I'm hoping against hope that it will be good, and not stupid. Talk to you later!

I know, but that really seems like the "God did it"/deus ex machina explanation - it's just that this interference came from downstairs instead. The convenience just wasn't explained to my satisfaction with "Oh, Lucifer, you nut! Always messing around!" I wish that there was more supernatural detective leg-work

I enjoyed it, though I thought that it was a little too convenient for Stark to stumble out of Hell and then practically trip over all of the people who sent him there. It was a good way to keep the story localized and maximize the flavor of L.A., but I wish Kadrey had made Stark work a little harder to track

So last night I read "The Sandman: Nocturnes and Preludes". It was really interesting - as I said before, I've never read graphic novels, so it took me a while to get used to the format. I really liked Dream's three quests to get his tools back after he escaped - especially his time with Constantine. I haven't read

I'm guessing that the majority of them would curl up and die! I have three younger teenage brothers, and I'm positive that none of them would survive. I told one of them that when he showed me his iPhone and said, "Look! It thinks for you!" And I died a little inside.

I think dystopian novels can be extemely powerful - more so than science fiction or fantasy, because dystopia is supposed to be a relatively believable possible extension of current circumstances. These circumstances can be overwhelming in their reality, let alone compounded by logical(ish) dystopian extension. And

I'm so glad you liked them! Well done for getting the second one read, too. They each have their different flavors, but the first one will always have the most special place in my heart (she says before reading any of the forthcoming books). I was re-reading it last night and was laughing very hard at the part

Just wanted to check in with you to see if work has been less crazy and allowed you time to finish Johannes Cabal. I'm re-reading it myself right now, and it just reminded me how much I enjoyed it the first time!
