Don't worry. You are Gen X.
Don't worry. You are Gen X.
I have some experience dealing with someone (not a parent) who is so willfully disconnected from reality that they just don't understaaaaaand why you're upseetttttt what did they do wronnnnng can't we talk about it? And fine, you summon your backbone and your patience and you explain it clearly and simply. And your…
Oh yeah. I've seen it happen over and over. I mean as an adult I get that there are three sides to every story: Mine, yours and the truth - but the angry self - righteousness of people who physically abused me and literally abandoned me (as opposed to the equally sucky emotional abandonment) makes flames grow out of…
Vagnoni is 56, a few years older than I am (I'm at the boom's end.). When she writes about the ideas boomers have about how parents should be treated, I have to laugh. Boomers treated their parents like garbage. They had tons of advantages. The kind no group before or since had.
She tourniquets her arm at the elbow with an ice pick and towel, washes the blood off, puts the offending knife onto the gas fire, heats it to a nice brick red and...wait for it...cauterize her own arm.
I've never had a kid and have never been pregnant—which can present a hurdle for some doctors—but this doctor nodded easily when I told her I wanted one. She gave me the insurance particulars and a couple of info sheets, and told me to make an appointment right away.
Ah, man! Mine failed (and caused a massive abdominal infection resulting in a oophrectomy). I wish I had saved it since I paid for it (in more ways than one.)
It's a fun little place for it now, isn't it? :)
The removal is really not bad at all (of course if you get it replaced you'll have to go through another insertion). I had mine removed last year because we're trying to get pregnant. It's basically like a big yank and it's over. Way better than insertion.
I had a Mirena... Till it failed and I ended up with an ectopic pregnancy :/
Congratulations!
I think it's really weird and creepy that her TV dad had that much control over her personal life to give her his "blessings" on her personal life decisions.
You know, it seems like Cosby had some kind of cult leader level influence at the show. It would explain the illogical defense that Rashad and Pulliam are giving him.
I think it is implying that Bonet "felt" or "sense" something wasn't right and wanted to get away from his control.
I streamed it recently on Netflix and man has that movie held up well ... I thought it was fantastic. At the time, it caused quite a stir for some of the violence toward the end. I'm not big on violent movies, but by today's standards, it was not a big deal. Mickey Rourke was a hell of an actor before he became a…
Angel Heart is actually pretty awesome.
OK, wait, you're totally fucking with us, aren't you? Shit, when you troll, you COMMIT.
I'm surprised at the negative comments about this photo! It's tempura and possibly the best way to eat veggies!!
1. She was an asshole because she wanted free bread
Maybe her parents never taught her how to be polite. You never know someone's background. Maybe in her family growing up, politeness was viewed as a sign of weakness and so she learned not to do it.
