It’s pretty fun, we watched it last week, has a real “stage play” sort of vibe (mostly a single room / single act), the confined space creates a sort of anxious intensity that works well, some great performances, kind of cool spin on a couple of themes (the horrors of war, suspicion/racism), the setup is quick, let’s

The Usual Suspects is probably at the top of my list for movies with a major twist/reveal, that aren’t diminished at all from knowing it - like The Sixth Sense, which is still fun as a re-watch, I sort get wrapped up in the “Do I see any additional clues about BW’s situation ...”, but with TUS, I almost forget about

Supersmen

Yeah, there’s that Alec Berg >> Mike Judge >> Office Space connection, which makes me hope we see Gary Cole too (he and Hader have also both done voice work in Bob’s Burgers). :D

Such a great episode, the del Toro cameo was a fun surprise, that whole exchange about the podcast was genius.

That’s some sexy dance fighting!

Hahaha, there was one time they cut to Logan on the floor and I hadn’t realize he got a hit from a defibrillator and I thought for a second he was suddenly sitting up. :D

For just a moment, that crossed our minds too - in fact, the wife and I said out loud, almost at the same time, “If this turns out to to be a ruse or he comes back from the beyond again, we might have to boycott the rest of the season ...”

As Cox looks to a life beyond Logan, he’s looking forward to returning to the theater stage...

Also, Linda Ronstadt has a Parkinson’s like illness - progressive supranuclear palsy- which has of some of the same symptoms, has talked about her inability sing, yet her legacy still touched both of these people, I think there’s some beautiful meta-commentary on art and love overcoming adversity.

Hahaha, there’s at least one other dork out here, and it was me :D

Yeah, I felt on a 1-10 scale, 1 being pure comedy and 10 being pure drama (or “dark” source material), Ragnarok bounced between 3 and 7, where L&T was moments of either 1-2 or 9-10, with nothing in the middle. Ragnarok did a much better job of sliding around that middle scale vs. CANCER ... LOLGOATS ... DEAD KIDS ...

Hahaha, I was thinking, “How did they know?” :D

Excellent, I’ve been meaning to listen to this, it’s been in my queue for a few months. I don’t generally listen to “audio drama” type podcasts, but I love Reddick and Duke, great actors with fantastic voices, figured that would be a perfect mix with a Batman story.

Yeah, every time I see that scene, I also, umm, get something in my eye ...

Oh yeah, the cultists in Tijuana in the storm drain who reanimate, hahaha, yeah ... The VHS movies in general seem like some directors/actors get together on a weekend and just toss some stuff together.

Nice, wasn’t aware of their new project. Big fan of their movies and their sort of “universe” (with Resolution and The Endless), Spring is another really fun one.

He will eat a dick like Kobayashi ...

It’s like a regular perm ... until they put you under the dryer.

Didn’t Marvel at some point clarify the “wing-like” appendages aren’t what actually propels him, but some kind of telekinesis? It looks great in the trailer, certainly keeps the iconic look in place, while still being a touch goofy :D
