I know what a Radeon is. I had a Radeon once! But there's no way I can be assed to look up its GeForce TM equivalent so… I might get New Doom at some point regardless? PC gaming yay?

Wait, what card did you have before? I recently got a… shit, 750 perhaps? Pretty sure it was in the 7xx range. I don't really buy hardware unless stuff breaks, so this was yet another hand-me-down from my brother. I was considering playing New Doom some time (mainly because I enjoyed like 2 FPS since Quake II) so your…
Huh, Page Kennedy sounds a lot like Rhymefest with some Consequence thrown in for good measure. Dude is nice, but I don't really enjoy the (appropriately GOOD Music ca. 2006-ish) production. It's possible that my speaker (yes, singular) is at fault here, though.
The new Wednesday Campanella/水曜日のカンパネラ album. Nice and relaxed house-y electronic music. I really like that it's not compressed to hell and back and consequently sounds like there's still a comfortable amount of space left in the room. It feels embracing, but not suffocating:
I bought it with remaining Nintendo… stars? or whatever on my Japanese 3DS but Wikipedia tells me it's been on North American Virtual Console since 2014. No idea if that's on 3DS or Wii U, though.
I'm definitely interested in this and a friend of mine (who's working 2 jobs and is consequently pretty picky about his games) recommends it; alas, my laptop has one of those shitty keyboards where it registers both as released when you hold two keys simultaneously and release one. I love this cheap, tiny piece of…
I assume Legacy+ is not so different from the regular one? If so, a side note to Ace Combat 3DS: How weird is it that Namco dumped one of the greatest hyper-pathetic heroic cheese-fests in the last ten years or so in a 3DS remake of a PS2 game? One of the 3DS Taiko Drum Masters paid respect, but is that all this: https…
My two current games could hardly be more different:
Well, obviously, given how tiny they are. It'd be like eating one Nürnberger.
I haven't played the PS3 iteration (yet—I'm planning on doing so once I'm back home), but the Aquanaut's Holiday games for PS1 were really good. I think they're better than Abzu (which is too blatantly showy for my tastes), but obviously your tolerance for PS1 graphics will play a large part in that.
Well… bummer time: Satoru Iwata had asked Yoot Saito, the creator of Seaman and a long time friend of his, to create a 3DS version of Seaman. Saito eventually bowed out and now that Iwata is dead he's pretty regretful over it.
I saved this recommendation for Friday evening and canned beer and it was worth it. Thanks!
Hey, long time no see! How's life treating you? Thanks for the heads-up. Incidentally, I just recently had a big music drought and remembered you dropping a list of international music blogs and was mad at myself for not saving them somewhere.
I'm not gonna lie, I didn't put in a whole lot of work. In fact, I just went through Scream & Yell's Best of 2016: http://screamyell.com.br/si… Apart from Céu, I didn't know anything from that list before (and just laziliy listened to Tim Maia and Elis Regina and such when I felt like Brazilian music in the past…
I'm in Japan for a while, which is a nice country you sometimes just need a goddamn break from. Luckily I'm only 20 minutes from a city with a large Brazilian population. That means I have easy enough access to farofa and black beans. Which of course leads to me listenting to Brazilian music.
"What is" was a verb that showed the name of objects when you'd mouseover them. Useless for mouse users since Indy 3 (I think) made that automatic, but since every touch in tablet mode makes you character move, scanning the room can become rather weird.
At least DF1 and Hexen weren't true 3D, right? They should be perfect for D-Pad gaming then, in theory. Though I guess it's possible you'd have to set up some non-easy, non-starightforward AutoHotkey things for that work.
In a most unforeseen turn of events, I'd actually love to have the old "What is" command back. Not because I'm weird or anything; I just have one of those laptop/tablet hybrid thingies and I feel that Thimbleweed Park does a good enough job making its objects stand out that it would suffer from the inclusion of a…
Good points, and the former is really crucial to the latter. I'm only about 2 hours in so I shouldn't make defintive statements, but it's great to have tons of locations and items and still have a good sense of where to use what when. Adventure games in the last, oh, 15 years or so have often tried to limit the rooms…
This might be the best wacky create-a-character I've ever seen. Just hits all the funny/terrifying buttons at once. Kudos.
