I had always wanted to play this because of its creature and environmental design, but when I finally did, 20 years later, boy was I disappointed by how right the reviews were. The game IS awful to play!

Isn’t that the same situation with Krondon, though? Not that he was as famous as The Rock, but I sure know him well enough to have double-checked whether we’re talking about Krondon Krondon here.

In no particular order:

Sweet. Apart from maybe the Camille album most French music I’d heard this year was of the “great single, rather forgettable album” variety. I had my hopes pinned on this and at yeah, track 1 sounds like it doesn’t disappoint.

That’s great to hear. I like Deadly Valentine a lot. Is it mostly in that vein?

I love that Teti is still doing his trademark sidetalking thing. On TV, even. That’s all.

Most of the time T-Pain certainly didn’t, but Epiphany was still pretty awesome, actually.

Nice article from AJA as always. I still think, though, that that scarcity is just another expression of Mikami applying restrictions in general (see also movement in Resident Evil and God Hand). I’m 100% sure he must have picked that up from his old mentor Fujiwara, who did the same to great effect in Ghosts ‘n

I guess it’s possible that April and the Extraordinary World just doesn’t qualify, but I probably would’ve made room for it. I know Noel Murray was pretty enthusiastic about it, so I was hoping it’d make an appearance. Still a nice list, though.

I just re-read the old Inventory book. Good times.

Say whaaat. I’d heard Gold Rush, but I didn’t know there was more. Thanks!

I don’t know if Blazing Saddles could be made today or not, but I know that I’m sceptical with regards to context. There are so many people thinking they understand rhethoric because they read that Wikipedia article on logical fallacies and thinking they understand art because they went on a TV Tropes binge once.

If he did, he aged quite well. I didn’t enjoy 3 all that much and consequently skipped 4, but 5 is definitely a throwback to the older games. You’re hanging out in an idealized version of Europe and then a crime happens and it turns out to be connected to some sort of religious/mythological thing. You know, Broken

I’m glad you enjoyed Friday Monsters but I really hope the upcoming Boku no Natsuyasumi for smart devices will be made with the same care as the previous titles (while I enjoyed Friday Monsters, it’s quite obviously a budget title).

I’m so glad this finally got released on GOG. I think I’m ready for it. (In the meantime I’m casually playing Broken Sword 5, perplexed by its leniency)

I’ve watched OG Gundam in HD a couple of years ago and... it’s okay, no? The hit-to-miss ratio might actually better than ST:TOS, I thought (Same goes for Galaxy Express 999, while we’re at it)

Ah, so the hat world is called “Bonneton” in English. I watched the Japanese video and wrinkled a brow or two at the name they use: “Cabron”.

Yeah, Truth is the kind of 13 minute track that you can just throw on a general purpose playlist between 3 minute jams. Amazing. Looking forward to Tony Allen as well; On Fire is really cool.

Probably not what you’re looking for, but I thought A Final Unity did Trek really well.
