Were they? More so than today? I can see that about WWF, but NWA looked kind of respectable. That's why Ric Flair's sports coat cost $800 and Gorilla Monsoon's cost $200. And I don't know what Vince's cost, I'd be ashamed to wear it!

Finally watched Network, which is as great (and devastating) as everyone says, even if the exposition is a bit clumsy… once or twice (it's tough finding fault with this one without reaching). I thought some of the stuff with the revolutionaries was laid on a bit thick, but the final scene makes it come together…
You might enjoy these recent examples from Tropical Freeze: http://youtu.be/nwlLKpmlhpE I thought they were pretty cute.
It is clear cut — it's not true for a South Park game. Every movie ever automatically gets an "arts" pass for depicting swastika, but no game has ever gotten so much as a second look whether it might qualify. It's really that simple.
And thanks to you too, "free" is always appreciated. You know, one time I was in the whirlpool section of my local public swimming pool to relax, when this big guy with a Faravahar on his chain came in and I was so close to asking him extensively about that… but then I remembered we were both half-naked strangers…
Awesome reply, thanks! Too bad about the game though. Still, it sounds like something that should at least have some defenders/cult following, rather than being damn near completely forgotten.
Unless GfWL is down for real already, there was some recurring issue where you couldn't access your account unless you found some way to accept the newer end user agreement first. I don't remember how that worked exactly, but if you search for something along those lines you might find the fix you need. I think it was…
I tried the very first King's Field for my Dark Souls 2 preparation, but… this isn't like a Souls game at all. Internet, you're terrible at recommending games. Not saying King's Field is bad, it's just not what I was looking for.
We did that too and I'll pay good money to first company that manages to replicate (or at least approximate) that kind of adventure game co-op feeling online.
More controller passing in Demon's Souls with some possible excursions into the world of Tokyo Jungle local multiplayer and watching a friend play Banished and asking inane questions about its mechanics.
Thanks, sounds good! I'll put it on the ol' shopping list.
That sounds vaguely fascinating. I'm somewhat interested in learning more about ancient Persia (because it seems just as worthy a subject as Greece or Rome, but completely underrepresented). Do you know any good resources to read about this kind of thing in some depth or did you go on a Wikipedia bender?
Awesome, glad to be of help. I actually think this was a pack-in game with my Voodoo card, along with Mechwarrior 2. I haven't played it in forever, but I remember it as a pretty good 3D variation of Speedball.
Do you mean Hyper Blade?
But if you watch Dogma, he's Alan Rickman!
Yeah, that's how I always saw it too. In addition, the Persians were presented as sexually far more liberated (even deviant, from the Spartan point of view), the Spartans were ethnically homogenous compared to Persian army, and I don't think it's too much of a stretch to read that "earth and water" business as Persia…
Whatever happened to Shiny's Messiah anyway? I remember lots of prerelease hype and then… what happened then? Did it turn out to be a disaster? Underrated gem? Has anyone played it?
"Until he was saved by a kindly priest
And that was the start of their pilgrimage west"
is such a terribly misleading fakeout that it still throws me off. It's oddly glorious.
I'm curiously unashamed of the fact that this song is on my running playlist. What? It works!
I still can't over the fact that Koze is some sort of household name these days. Going from from Bonanzarad to Deine Reime sind Schweine to this is possibly the most puzzling musical turnaround I've ever witnessed.
