So… those Annie Awards, amirite? Better short picks? I think I've only seen Bite of the Tail last year and eh.

Is it just my room or has everyone's room gone completely silent right now?
I don't know; sounds fair. The combat can take a while to get accustomed to blablabla, but if it doesn't do it for you, that's pretty much it. I don't think anyone plays these games for the story and in spite of their aversion for the gameplay.
I feel you, I just didn't see how I could reasonably level up to them with the regular enemies you get from random encounters. Admittedly I may have given up trying fancy strategies too soon.
@Drinking_with_Skeletons:disqus too:
YES. Who doesn't love being a pretend polymath? Good job systems let us indulge in that dream while assuring us that there's flexibility in specialization too. Finding crazy complimentary effects is too satisfying.
Either third time's the charm or I'm about to triple-post. Let's find out! Yeah, the status ailment thing is definitely a positive, and it works
well with the ever changing party. One minute you're all about physical
damage, the next Confuse is your best friend, and then it's exploiting
elemental weaknesses.
I kind of want you to finish it anyway, just because I know you'll find the ending just as awful as I did and it'll be fun.
Rejoice! I think I read just this week that following the Ikaruga release (and maybe some other ports), they're planning to release a brand new title on Steam (and probably port that to consoles later). In any case, that should pretty much guarantee an international release.
It's a thing that comes up for a few people, maybe some firewall or HOSTS file weirdness on my end. Otherwise the license will activate itself automatically, as far as I know.
Actually, totally put a point in resistance if blowdart snipers otherweise one-shot you into toxic status.
Y' know, I'm theoretically still up for shenanigans, so if you need some music, feel free to hit me up. Or maybe we could do a Unity study group thing? I finally got around to the manual license activation, which involved the scary step of disconnecting from the internet. Then I put a tree in a body of water, felt…
The great thing about Blighttown though is that invaders will often just get frustrated and leave.
There's lots of classic RPGs I still haven't played so I can't speak with too much authority, but FF4 definitely has some of the weirdest random encounters I've seen. It feels like I'm triggering three encounters in six steps in the one minute, and then in the next I'm going a hundred steps and nothing happens.
I recently picked up DaS again because I had fun playing DeS with a friend. Yesterday I murdered the infamous Ornstein & Smough… on my third try, no summons, no FAQ. Never grinded for a second. Just sayin'. *selects "Well! What is it!" gesture*
TABLOID REPORTER STRANGLES BOSS OVER LOUSY ASSIGNMENT
Honestly, they all kind of blend together a bit for me (enigmatic, disappearing women are found in most of his novels. If not, there's probably at least a disappearing cat in it). I guess Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and the quite atypical Norwegian Wood are my favorites. If it doesn't have to be a novel, you can't go wrong…
I've started reading Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage (it's a fun read, but fairly by-the-numbers Murakami so far), and, as a consequence, listened to a lot of Liszt's Années de pèlerinage (inappropriate ranking so far: Lazar Berman > Julian Gorus > Jerome Rose).
I don't get y'allz drunk buying habits. I'm all about placing orders and being amazed a couple of days later when I suddenly own Feel the Magic XX/XY. World's now a more whimsical place; you're welcome.
Don't worry too much, the full version has dual audio.
You can put your games in a bowl, like breath mints.
