Trump and Pence are def. more hated — and more dangerous. W. and Cheney were warmongers and profiteers, but they didn’t want to actually dismantle the Constitution. (Well, Cheney might have, but he had the sense to be quieter about it.)

I agree the Secret Service can’t be Ok with this plan and will do what they can do stop it -- but he’s (god help us) going to be the president. I think they only have so much authority to stop him.

My tax break is likely going to increased health care expenses. And higher local taxes when the sanctuary city I live in loses federal funding. And of course, we have to put more away in savings now because my husband’s job just became less secure due to Trump.

In fact, I seem to recall Cuban saying basically that. I can’t find a link now, but I know I saw an interview where Cuban acknowledged that he had had a friendly relationship with Trump previously but he was appalled by some of things he said while campaigning.

Right? And I think Romney is probably not a *total* asshole. If nothing else, the internment camps for Muslims and gay re-education centers would be off the table. And I don’t see him launching nukes just to see what happens.

But it’s usually fairly low-level staff. Yes, they are not hiring all new janitors and photocopy jockeys, but most people doing any kind of heavy (political/tactical/strategic) lifting are all new with the administration.

I actually doubt many people lied. I suspect the polls were based on faulty models. The models are built based on prior electoral data -- but this election was not like other elections.

In all seriousness, look at how unhealthy he looks now, and then look at how much Obama (younger and far more vital) aged in the WH. Even if he doesn’t resign, I think there’s a decent chance he dies/becomes incapacitated during his first term.

My guess is that he’ll do it for awhile (weeks, months, a year, who knows?) and then claim Melania has some health problem, or that DC schools aren’t good enough for Barron or he needs to go back to running his businesses — any excuse that doesn’t reflect weakness on his part.
