My boss got a Droid X today and he can't find this app. I tried to help him, since I can see it on my Incredible. But it's just not there. Is it possible that Motorola blocked it?

The "smart" recommendation probably isn't designed to recommend similar apps. It probably recommends apps that people liked if they liked the app you're viewing.
Most essential? It's hard because there are so many. I'll go with Google Voice because it saves me money (no need for a texting plan).
@RT100: Have you tried SoundHound? It seems faster to me.
@Bryan Weber: That's a good idea. I suppose somebody could come up with a way to license a certain number of digital copies to a library, and force the library to give out only so many digital rentals (time out like trial software) of the book per time period.
Books. Renting textbooks would be the way I'd go if I did college again, but I mean casual books. I just borrow from my local library. Since I live in a large city, they have nearly everything I decide I want to read. It's free (which beats the heck out of paying $200 for an e-reader and more money per book) and I…
@deenster: Movies was the first thing I thought of also. I love to watch movies. But I don't get attached enough to need to have them on hand all of the time. And since movies are being produced faster than I watch them (I spend more time watch television), there's always something new for me to rent. Plus I'd…
I think "your bank's website" should be considered.
Sweet :). I'm still waiting for Android 2.2, though.
I want to read more about how "Vijay's e-mail application upacks Jeff's picture." I haven't heard of upacking.
I'm amazed at how it seems like 99% of adult America is addicted to caffeine. The commenters say they didn't drink coffee, but mostly they say they still drank caffeine. I live caffeine-free and I'm just fine.
@froggy: That's a distinct difference. Thank you for pointing that out.
I thought the HTC Desire and the HTC Incredible were the same thing?
So this is better than SlideIT, right?
I use the Calorie Counter Android app. It makes things really easy. I can even scan bar codes. It tracks the entire nutrition label.
Have you tried Carrr Matey?
I use both and I have DropboxPortable on my thumb drive. I also have a live installation of Ubuntu on my thumb drive. You can't do that with Dropbox.
@razordu30: A quick Google search points to AndNav2 (www.andnav.org). I haven't tried it, though. Also, I'd suppose TeleNav would be equal to a car-mounted GPS navigator if you don't mind paying a yearly subscription.
@KamWrex: Yes, try MapDroyd.
Interesting... I was thinking only hours ago that this would be a good feature. I see we are in tune.
