This makes a lot of sense to me. We should start working less. Not because we'll live longer, so we want to spread it out, but because we have machines to amplify our work for us. We just need to develop, monitor, and adjust the machines. Gradually, they'll be able to take over most jobs, so we can spend less time

I found this great site a couple of days ago where you can use flash cards (my preferred method of learning) to learn anything. I started with the most popular pre-K Spanish deck. http://www.flashcardmachine.com/flashcards/?title=&description=&refine_author=&subject=Language+-+Spanish&level=1.00

So this is strange... the article states the the writer and his spouse were "Not fans of the 'cry-it-out' method", then later says he let "him experience just a few minutes of crying at a time in the crib".

I agree! Typically, I just walk out of the restroom without drying. If my hands are too wet, I'll wipe them on pants. There's no point in waiting for the dryer or wasting another paper towel. Water does this cool thing called "evaporation".

I used to watch porn. But I gave it up. It was hard (that's what she said) to do. It continues to bring me closer to my wife. True story.

lol nice. I get the bowl so I can save half for later.

Yes, I've donated for the first time this year.

Also, since they are non-profit, they could take the ads off after they decide they've brought in more money than they can or should spend.

Agreed! The glasses can be awesome, but it will take a lot of time.

I agree! About 10 years ago, I had Weird Al's UHF and enjoyed it, and the commentary was also awesome!

Agreed! We have something similar, with one long handle along the back, and we will never go back to the pain (both in pushing and in cleaning) of a rolling pizza cutter.

Imagine the scientific progress we could make if we made everything open sourced, so people always used the best technology possible and built on top of the best instead of everybody needing to reinvent other people's inventions. Imagine doing this for the sake of scientific progress despite the possible loss of some

While hydrogen fuel cells aren't as efficient as batteries, it would be great to see them used so we can get past the range anxiety of electric cars.

I agree, and I've watched a TEDTalk about this... it could be like an automatic car wash except it replace your battery. But how would they handle the different batteries being closer to the end of their life cycle than others (can't hold a charge)? And do you think they could make the batteries large enough to get

It sounds like somebody needs to come up with an open source solution and libraries need to decide to use that and refuse to use those other things. This way, a library could have a collection of ePubs and distribute them through the open source, one-click install type site (like WordPress or another open source

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll look for it for my Roku. This seems better than Hulu Plus, if I just want recent things including CBS.

If they can master accelerometers, they wouldn't need to use any external signals at all (after calibration).
