I’m the OP, and even I had to star your comment.

YEAH, YALL. THIS DEVOUT, RAGING FEMINIST IS TOTES TALIBAN. COVER YOUR BODIES YALL. LOLOLOL.

Can’t answer the question without abandoning your unsubstantiated Beyoncé and Nicki worship?

bell hooks*

I love how you think I was here waiting to get validation from you enough to think your “bye” means absolutely anything at all.

That is an incredibly simplistic way to analyze my very complex comment. Please read a book.

I think I addressed their wealthiness in my comment as part of my point.

How about YOU go sit down and read a bell hooks book. You might find her words more comforting than a Snickers bar. In fact, it might take you a while to get through, so, you’ll find time for several seats.

I am really sick of Beyonce and Nicki Minaj holding themselves out to be feminists and “powerful women” and then continuing to make videos that feed into patriarchal values and misogynistic expectations simply because they rake in money for it. Is it okay to set aside true feminist values to collect a paycheck? No.

So...

This picture is so romantic.

This guy looks like he’d rip you a new hole, and then fuck it.

I’m getting major “Do Somethin’” vibes from this video, and that was not a peaceful time in Britneydom.

I really hate how trailers nowadays give the whole movie away. The conflict, climax and falling action of the storyline are all pretty much given away. I feel like in that two minutes, I saw the whole movie. Meh. I guess now I don’t have to spend $20.00 at the cinema.

That sounds terribly sweet and made me smile real big! We could all only hope for that level of assistance when we're older. Good on you!

He looks like he should be starring in a Collegehumor skit. That is not a compliment.

I’m not American, so I really am interested to hear (genuinely) about how Reese should have gone about this, or what changes she could make to this line to highlight the contributions of black people in the American South.

Um. Many other commenters have pointed that out by now. But thanks for your input, anyway! The point is, the Jezebel article did not express that. I can’t edit my comment to reflect differently.

What if he was gay? What if he genuinely didn’t want to kiss another woman? What if he had a bad sexual experience and it would be traumatic for him to do that?
