The Costco price is pre negotiated based on the dealers invoice. It will be at, below or above that price and there is no haggling. Mine happened to be $100 over DI. All manufacturer rebates and special financing offers are still applicable. For me it was a $1000 rebate.

Warranty service is the same as if you’d purchased through the dealer in a typical manner.

An auxiliary fan switch is not to take the place of the temperature controlled switch. It is to turn the electric fan on earlier than it would under normal conditions, and keep it on. It’s better to drain a battery than blowing a head gasket or cracking a head. But you know the hat already. Huh?
