It’s easy to point fingers here as there are plenty to point at. If it were me working in that situation I’d have taken a more selfish approach: self preservation. I would have EVERY warning device I had deployed for as far as they would go. I few extra minutes of work vs an ambulance ride is a no brainer in my book.

Realistic expectations in mind, my youngest drove a repainted yard sale Barbie Jeep. My eldest drove a restored vintage pedal tractor I pulled out of a dumpster. Yup. Dumpster diving, I’m not proud. They both turned out great but the tractor was awesome.
