Because it's cringingly smug. Because it takes another way of life and is flippantly dismissive. Because it's using jingoism to sell a deeply flawed car.

I want it. I WANT IT.

Or the fact the last manual Ferrari you could buy was a California?

Absolutely yes.

Why is this a bad thing? Nobody who wants a crossover is going to care about rear wheel drive anyway. Save the indignation for the point when they stop building rear wheel drive sedans and coupes, which is never going to happen.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE THEM TO BUILD THIS. I WILL SELL MY KIDNEY MY HOUSE AND ANY OFFSPRING I HAVE TO OWN THIS CAR. BUT WITH THE 5-CYL TURBO AND NOT THE RIDICULOUS HYBRID V8 DRIVETRAIN PLEASE. AND A MANUAL. THANK YOU.

That is a test rig car. Back in the day testing equipment was too big to fit in the subject car, so this beauty would tail it with the equipment and boffins in the back. There's a bunch of cables you can just make out in the pic running from the front of roof on the test rig to the rear of the roof on the subject car.

As much as I want to be excited about the S1, I can't help but feel confident it's going to be yet another clinically fast, yet utterly lifeless car from Audi. Sad times.

I think what's interesting is that the new WRX style has been majorly affected by wheels. The only real difference I can see between the STI and this is that ruddy great wing and some more stylish, slightly larger alloys which fill out the arches better. Likely the car handles best on the standard size (17's?), but if

Hey now, the gawker network is very consistent. Such slander...

Wait a minute, Britain is part of America? Why didn't anyone tell me?! WHERE HAVE I BEEN LIVING ALL THIS TIME

Are the French gonna get them disqualified for having the wrong kinda headlights?

The good lady and I are thinking of moving to the USA (where she's from) later this year and I recently asked if she'd be down with driving a manual car. 'I don't see why not' was the reply. Which is one of the many reasons I love that gal.

Yeah, and the interior, which is warmed over slab sided eighties glory. But, if I could afford one, I could afford a decent mechanic. And when it was working properly, it'd be a glorious drive.

Fair enough. I'd buy that car if it was the Pygmy Shrew though. Look at it!

You know I didn't make the car, right?

The Lancia Hyena. Only 24 of these gorgeous coupes were built by Zagato, based off the Delta Integrale.

Can anyone tell me if there's any real difference in the exterior of the new WRX and the STi? So far as I can tell, it's just the big-ass wing and larger wheels.

I kinda object to the Allroad on principal. It's a couple of grand more than the Avant it replaces all so it can pretend to be something its not. Then you get ridiculous things like paying another grand to have the stupid plastic cladding the same colour as the body so you can pretend its not pretending to be a

Renault Twingo?
