I have most of my end-of-the-year work due Tuesday and instead of working on it I ate pasta and watched an embarrassing amount of Dance Academy, so you’re not alone!

I grew up Catholic and now I have too many issues with the church to participate, but I don’t think I could even completely abandon it. It makes me happy to see stories like this because it is a step in the right direction. If he visits somewhere near me, I’ll probably go see him too.

I’ve had to delete several people from social media because of the vile things they’re posting. Some of it is literally sickening.

Yep. I sold a poster to Zach Galifinakis once (post-Hangover) and didn’t even realize it was him until someone else I was working with was like, “Heeeyyy...that guy looks familiar.”

SO GORGEOUS. Now to mix all the patterns...

Looking young is such an advantage sometimes! Between being 5’ 1” and looking like a teenager, there’s always at least one dad-type who offers to help when I struggle.

Eh, it never sticks for me either. Every time I attempt to use it I end up peeling it off by the end of the day, no matter what it’s over or which top coat I use.

I made a spreadsheet for mine...grand total, 400 bottles exactly! I have a plastic drawer set for the majority, but I keep my Zoya Pixiedusts and scattered holos in a rack, where they can be pretty and visible all the time.

Fuck her. That’s all I’ve got.

I just convinced my parents to watch it tonight because I’m home for the weekend and too scared to watch it by myself in my apartment! It’s ready to go and I’m already anxious haha

It was small group OOOHHing so they’re totally fine, right? Normally they keep each other in line, but with testing coming up they’re all over the place and I don’t blame them :/

My uncle is a shitty person for a multitude of reasons, but my mom and uncles still invite him to stuff because he’s family. It’s 2008, I’m about to graduate from high school, and we’re at the hospital because my grandma is sick. At this point, I haven’t really spoken to my uncle in two years or so, but he’s clearly

Mine do the synchronized “OOOOOHHH” thing. Happened twice yesterday when kids were arguing with me about being on task (your elbows are ON YOUR BLANK PAPER, don’t fight with me!) and I apparently won with whatever comment I regret nothing.

Seriously. (I was also on Frenchmen this year for MG! Krewe du Vieux was the only parade I made it to, damn living out of state.)

A sociological perspective on education was part of my program and we spent some time discussing race and its effect on teacher burnout. A HUGE problem is that minority teachers are often assigned to schools with large minority populations, low performance, and low expectations, which they are supposed to be able to

Seriously. Between living on the coast (Texas) and frequent lake/river recreation, it’s just irritating that she’s so “OH MY GOD MANATEE” when there are things that could really, literally, kill you in the water too. The only time I’ve ever kind of freaked out was when a snake slithered into a river in front of me

My skin is clear enough for the first time in years for me to feel comfortable going places without makeup, but I had to change my entire skincare routine after I developed dermatitis. Went to a dermatologist, who prescribed a sulfur wash and cream that kind of worked...but I still had patches on my chin and eyebrows

My uncle is pretty nutjob Republican-y, so when my mom was talking to him on Easter she was like, “Oh, you must be so excited about Rick Perry and Ted Cruz! Aren’t you SO happy they’re running for President?” He looked uncomfortable and changed the subject. Related: my mom is awesome.

I go to Sonic fairly often for drinks and snack type things, but I normally just add a dollar and don't get change when someone brings the food out. If I go through the drive thru I don't worry about it!

Small town Texas can be rough on the heart. I stay out of my hometown (San Antonio area) as much as possible because of the way people sometimes treat me for choosing to leave, although I go back to visit my parents pretty often. Race and money definitely segregated our community too, and still do.
