I’ve typically heard you need to be able to get your hand six to eight inches above the rim to stuff it. So I’m just using “touching the rim” as a point of reference, and saying that Tom Brady at his athletic peak could definitely get his hand eight inches higher than mine.

I’m 36, and my knees would kick me out of the house if I tried touching the rim.

I’m surprised you weren’t able to get a little bit closer. Would two extra inches (Brady’s height) have gotten you nearly there?

And also, young dudes are OBSESSED with dunking. Like I said, I’m 5'10", didn’t play organized basketball, wasn’t really a very good jumper, and even I was trying to touch the rim every time I stepped into a gym.

Are you ... purposely being dense?

Never? Oh Jesus, man. I’m 5'10", a shitty athlete, and even I could touch rim in high school.

Yeah, as tempted as I am to highlight-truth these clips, I am 175 pounds and couldn’t do a front flip off of a diving board, so ...

Eh, he’s 15 feet from LeBron and wants a photo. Cut him some slack.

I’m a Celtics fan, and I suspect you’re right.

LeBron is so fucking good that it feels unfair. It’s a good thing he’s a way shittier GM and coach than he is a player, or he’d never lose.

The other big difference is the impact of a foul in soccer, which can result in a player being sent off or a penalty (in a game where teams routinely win with two or fewer goals). When Harden flops, he isn’t rewarded with 50 foul shots.

Eh, I bet he’s not too worried about it. I’d take him over any coach in the league, and it sounds like his players would, too, and he’s the kind of guy where that’s enough for him.

I think I’d like the C’s better against the Rockets, in part because they have fewer weapons, but also because Kerr is a pretty damn good coach, too.

I want to see Brad Stevens get a crack at the Warriors. Even though I’m a Boston homer, I have very little hope the C’s would win. But it would still be fun to just see what Stevens comes up with to try to contain an unstoppable team.

Speaking as a Boston fan, I’m not yet smug about this team (unless I’m talking to a Sixers fan in which case they can eat shit their team sucks Fultz LOL “The Process”? eat shit).

You’re replying to the wrong person, I think. I’m with you.

The way you eliminate that “gray area” is by not doing a check for things that you’re prohibited by law from considering.

The answer is, and has always been, for every possible variation of this question: The Colts.

No, I think that’s completely wrong, though. They want to be 100 percent certain that they can’t be accused of violating employment law, if possible, and so they put the decision about what information to consider in the hands of their search firm (at least that’s the story, and I think it’s reasonable). If they start

I think you’re missing some context. The Lions were prohibited by law from considering non-conviction felony arrests older than seven years, and to ensure that they did not violate the law, their search firm *intentionally* did not provide information about the arrest.
