It's funny how cool old 911s look in colours like pastel blue, orange and "frog" green, and how ridiculous these colors look on most modern cars.

Oh, a pleasant Sunday afternoon programme here...

Citroen AX with the 1.4 (naturally aspirated) diesel. One of the local car mags did a test on the most economical used diesels, and they managed to get a 2.99 l / 100 km (almost 79 MPG) consumption out of the small Citroen. Although not as pretty as its relatives, the Peugeot 205 and 106, the AX is still a practical

The socialist car industry came up with some pretty disgusting colors. Before my parents picked up their Wartburg 1.3 in 1989 (after years and years on the waiting list), they asked me and my brother what color they should choose. We started listing colors - orange, light blue, dark red, etc. When they arrived to the

I instantly thought of that. That's what you get when Germans try to be creative.

The Trabant 601. Unsophisticated, noisy, slow, and eco-destructive - however, it provided relatively affordable transportation for masses in the eastern bloc. Cars that did the same in post-WWII Western Europe - the Mini, the Beetle, the 2CV or the R4 - have achieved cult status, while the Trabi is still looked upon

I'm used to stick, and the first time I drove an automatic, I hit the brake really hard at one point, because I tried to push the clutch.

They could have cleaned the windows...

Kia Opirus. When some local journalists tested the Opirus in Hungary, they were fined for not paying the parking fee. The parking attendant put "Mercedes" on the ticket. Nevertheless, the Opirus was quite good value for money.

Put a lousy driver (I originally wanted to write 'woman', but that would have been unjust) in the towed car.

Back to the Future train vs DMC-12. Too bad they screwed up the movie afterwards with the flying train and shit.

I know it's not the answer you had in mind, but... I'd buy a LOT of cheap, but great and stylish cars.

I know it won't make the list, but I still have to say: I love the Nohab M61. Reliable, railway cult icon Norwegian diesel locomotive.

I hope they'll manage to keep the XH558 airworthy at least until I get to see it in flight...

Another video from the same venue. The best part is from 4:55. It was a bit noisy. The Ostrava airshow is to take place this September with a B-52H flying display...

Usually, airshow display lines are parallel with the runway. However, there's an airshow in Ostrava (Czech Republic), not very far from where I live, where the display axis is perpendicular to the runway, so if you're brave enough, you can stand right under the flying displays.

Choose where you leave your car and drive something that's on the bottom of the 'most stolen' list.

Gotta love the spinach green carpets and steering wheel.

Maserati Quattroporte interior. Note the bright yellow exterior.

Oh, I remember those. Great stuff. Also loved my Majorette Land Rover (mine was zebra striped). And the Alitalia 131 is just gorgeous.
