Youmight be on to something Eric!

I have a photo of a bin man in San Francisco. Watchdogs 2 is in San Francisco. And Watch Dogs 2 is a video game. Shall I send it to you? It has more relevance to Kotaku readers than the above photo of a random cleaning crew (at a tourist trap). Really? Just because it’s Japan?

Ashcraft reads all the comments. You can tell, as only those critical of JPGS are left in Pending Approval limbo.

[Sound of shakuhachi] “Japan. Land of the Rising Sun. East meets West. A land of contrasts. And at its heart, the pulsating Tokyo.”

And yet, it still manages to be a bog standard, and very old photo.

Whatever crazy pills you're on, I've long ago crushed the bottle.

I usually receive a healthy dose of negativity for being the most vocal of the irrelevance of Ashcraft’s choice of photos on JPGs. I 100% agree with what you’ve said above. And I’m glad that other Kotaku readers are finally starting to see the failures of an idea with so much potential to its worldwide viewership.

Nag Champa aren't just, but better. You can get them from any head shop in LA.

Perhaps the comment didn't come out quite the way you intended, but are you implying to Eric Carvalho that all featured photos on JPGS need come from near where Ashcraft resides? If so, then you're spot on.

I’d love to see photos of New England. No chance here though, amigo. Unless you have a Japanese temple or a power pole.

Mate, I’m sick of it, too. Temples and shrines are great. I don’t hate them as you suppose. Quite rich for you to jump to jumpy conclusions. But it’s the Internet, so I’ll let it go. Look, my close mate is a monk and I’m deep in. I dig all that stuff. That said, do we need these temple/shrine photos on a predominantly

100% agree. I’m not anti-temple. I’m anti-blandness and repetition. Japan has so much more to offer in this section of Kotaku than the common tourist attractions. And it wouldn’t hurt to select more unique, higher quality photos than what you see on your uncle’s Facebook. The above featured photo looks identical to

Wrong mate. This or any other shrine nearly every day. I really don't see the point being on Kotaku.

It’s a street. Brian, mate. You really need an editor. Getting more ridiculous by the day.

A power pole. Have we really come to this? What's next Brian? Doorhandles?

Yet another lifted article in which you played no part in creating. Good work Brian. I can’t wait to read your next “As reported in...”

Senorita, no. Sorry, I love you but the volume is dipping into diary dregs.

Day in, day out. Same photos of Google image. You live in Japan. Where are your pics?

Narelle, quality not quantity. You've put up two dozen articles over the weekend. Slow down and take a breath.

A blurry 42kb photo of the most well-known, oft photographed landmark in Tokyo. Slow day at the JPG office Brian?
