The roller and bushing is completely made of plastic held by a metal screw so any sort of hair that gets into the side of the brush and housing will cause excess heat/force that quickly melts the brush.  Horrible design IMO.

My dyson is garbage as I’ve replaced the rollers 3 times in 2 years despite rigorous maintenance.
