Installed? I bet you it’s more than 6k. You can take this one and slap a turbo and exhaust on it and safely make 400+hp without cracking it open. You wouldn’t want big numbers for a track car anyways.

The forged pistons is what is worth the money really. It can be modified but then if it still breaks they’ll void the warranty. Putting forged pistons in a regular STI is about 6 grand off the bat I’m guessing.
60% of the weight reduction come from removing the spare tire donut and replacing it with a tire patch kit. That’s not really impressive nor practical for a what is still an econobox racer that you’ll drive everyday. (I have one).

Well now the variable is two different vehicles all together...first test the blue 2wd was way out front.
S class is the tops, followed by 7 series.
You’re close to hiring a mechanic because inevitably, you won’t have the right part/tools and 1 or 2 things are going to go wrong and your already at what the mechanic would charge.
Avg mechanic charges 70/hr....an amateur probably takes at least 2x longer....I don’t see this as a savings.
Funny you would say that as the new Civic Type R does the nurburgring in 7:43.8.....the R8 V10 7:44.0....if my math is correct that’s 0.2 sec slower.
