The Kindle ads really are a non-issue. If you pay to have them removed ($20) they still put a literature-related illustration on the lock screen, so the overall experience is all but indistinguishable. The ads never intrude when you’re reading.

Yes, “CCP” means “Commercial Crew Program”. However, I can’t help noticing how close it is to CCCP, the Cyrillic acronym for USSR emblazoned all over Russian spacecraft and space suits. Has our space program been infiltrated? I grew up in the cold war, and I’d put nothing past those godless commies.

Meh... MIB already took care of that for us.

Fun fact: the Bikini bathing suit was named for the 1946 atomic test at Bikini Atoll.

Yeah, we all know where this is going. Bruce the mechanical shark...

The Kindle is the second greatest gadget ever, and for me that’s saying a lot, coming as I do from the ‘50s, the headwaters of gadget culture. The greatest gadget ever was and remains the transistor radio. However, the Kindle is a strong second, and for many of the same reasons... it’s a portable device that keeps you

“...move objects without being pushed back against...”

Of course I know how old they are. It’s just that they’re playing the same teen slacker characters with their much older selves... the contrast is jarring.

Woof... the years have not been kind to Bill and Ted. Me either, but I’m not a movie star.

I’ve read it at least half a dozen times. I think it’s great, but sure... your mileage may vary.

The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester. One of the best sci fi novels ever, largely forgotten and way overdue for a movie. I’m looking at you Spielberg.

You left out agent Peggy Carter, one of the greatest.
