Rowling released the right book at the right time. The Potter series did not sell on the strength of its prose. Her flaming zeppelin career as a crime novelist should be enough to dispel any lingering notions of literary genius.

I’m sure every show can do more to diversify their writing staffs but Conan’s show gets credit for introducing me to Deon Cole so I don’t think he’s starting from square one.

I never understood the draw of The Sopranos... cheesy acting, lazy writing, bored actors... never been a fan, even as others hve fawned over it. Honestly, had the exact same feelings about The Wire : I know I’m supposed to care about these meticulously created terrible people, but why? 

I almost always send single texts with multiple sentences vs separate texts for each sentence. Maybe this makes me an old, but I prefer receiving texts this way as well. I by far prefer savory breakfast over sweet. When my son was about three years old, Sunday somehow became pancake day. I am so damn sick of making and eating pancakes every week. I would so much rather make a nice breakfast skillet.
