I'm trying to imagine a head hitting the inside of a balloon helmet at high speeds. I find it hard to grasp that your head won't simply compress the air and you'll still make solid contact with the ground/car. I guess that's what the engineering was for ;).

Either a developer or composer (I forget) started a thread somewhere and by request he will email you the "chirps" for free that you can use on your PC/Phone/etc. The music and sounds really did it for me so I bought both the album and got those chirps as my ring/notification tones.
