She’ll be fine. She’s 34 making good money and will be able to save and build a lot as long as she doesn’t buy a new car every year and lives below her means (for example I’m an airline pilot and when I train new pilots I give them some advice of things I’ve seen which is pilots getting heady making decent money and

As soon as we get a cabin pressure warning which in my plane happens at a cabin altitude of 14,500 (normally at cruise the cabin alt is around 7000) we are required to don oxygen masks and run the emergency descent procedure and that will take less than a minute
The oxygen masks for the passengers do have a limited

Surprised Rivian didn’t make the cut, unless there are issues I don’t know about

Ok airline pilot here. Depressurizations happen, not super common but anything can break. We have procedures for this, I have done this once actually. We perform whats called an Emergency descent. It’s an emergency procedure that requires getting down to a safe altitude as quickly as possible, this is a unpressurized

I’m trying to find a reason beyond incompetence how this would happen. I can think of several scenarios, none of them good

It’s very low. Sometimes we have notices that tell us ‘unlighted tower 10nm NW of the airport 500agl’ and my response is usually ‘if we are 500agl 10 miles from the airport we have a serious problem’

So you can polish a turd

On second thought, that flight path is over Yukon, so probably Lake Overholser in the pic. Lined up for 13 then, but either just really bad approach planning or incorrect FMS setup. Possible wrong flight mode in the autopilot as well. Just so many reasons this could happen hard to guess

Ok, Airline pilot here. So, night visual approach. I’m just spitballing but there is an airport to the NW of OKC that has been mistaken for OKC at night. You come flying in, request the visual approach, you see a runway and start to go to it but the low alt warning comes from ATC and then they realize they lined up for

lol what a load of horseshit. Playing the victim. ‘Oh we are just fighting for free speech that’s what I meant. We won’t bow to being censored!’ jesus fuck NO ONE IS CENSORING YOU. People choosing NOT to advertise with your business is not censorship ffs. Can this guy just take his billions and fuck off

There are more and more, but it is still overwhelmingly male and white

technically you are correct, it is a... vehicle (...retch)

oh good god no. I literally threw up in my mouth a little bit

Oh i can figure out what they did, it’s just not an industry term and it’s weird to see someone put that in a memo. It should be something like they performed an altitude recovery or an upset recovery procedure

Details are lacking but as an airline pilot I can tell you it’s very important where they were in relation to the runway at 400ft. That’s normal just under a mile in final, but super high if you are crossing the threshold, as well as super low if you are miles away.
I have no clue what this roller coaster maneuver

As an airline pilot I can tell you that the only time when we are 400ft away from the surface is on short final or just under a mile from the runway (which, I know a mile is long but super short in the airline world)

Another plus for the GTI. I had a 2018 Golf R and it’s the best integrated use of controls and touchscreen I’ve seen.

Mazda CX-30 Turbo! It’s a Dad car because I’m a Dad and that’s what I drive

Hmmm, that’s just a little bit more than the law will allow

Ahahaha no. As an airline pilot we dont’ just run into storms out of surprise! Oh no we’re in a storm! Where did that come from ?! lol Yes, we have weather radar and it’s not perfect but while it may not reflect the overall intensity of the storm it’s going to reflect some of it. Plus we have constant communication
