Thankfully it was through USAA which has generally been ok to work with (except not so speedy for our roofing claim, which took MONTHS). Sorry to hear about your loan, it can really be horrible to deal with unscrupulous lenders.

My complaint is stupid FLSA negotiations!
I love Ipsy, but my shipment was pretty meh this month. What did you get? I got a “lip injection” lipgloss that makes me lips feel TERRIBLE, plus I just got a free 8-piece nude lips set from Ulta last week so I guess I’m a bit biased.
I paid my car off this week! We had a three-year loan so the monthly payments were high; looking forward to the extra money every month. Plus my husband recently started college again so we are getting GI Bill BAH which helps TREMENDOUSLY -- we are now able to resume the home repairs which have been overwhelming this…
Hey jezzies! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I’m trying to brainstorm a way to keep my backyard pond from filling up over the winter after we clean it out.
That was my first thought too! Now that horrible song will be stuck in my head for a week, thanks a lot Ben Affleck 😤
I think that’s a great idea, I used to love smashing fake plastic grapes with my hands as a child! I am already terrible about this with chewing on pen caps, (which I know is gross)
That is all great advice — definitely going to check out the thought record sheets you linked; since I know this is work-related it might help me to pinpoint what is setting it off more specifically and try to attack the issue from there.
That is really intensely long — I understand that DSS needs information to help make a guided decision regarding accommodations, but that form makes it seem like they are more interested in hearing what your doctor thinks you need than your firsthand account.
I'm afraid I'm doing that to myself too, Jesus Christ I want to punch myself for not being able to stop
A childhood dog used to do that; we eventually figured out he was trying to snap at dust motes in sunbeams.
I went to a really thorough conference this summer regarding accommodations for students with disabilities in higher Ed, and my eyes were opened to how unnecessarily difficult most institutions make the process. I am so sorry you are going through this; your professor sounds like an enormous buttface for not making…
I’ve been putting off going to the doctor for a condition I realize is stress-related. I clench my jaw horribly when I’m at work to the point of pain. I always start to worry around mid-week that I have an abscessed tooth or something terrible, until Friday afternoon rolls around and AMAZINGLY my tension is gone and…
I love nearly every TheBalm product I’ve tried. Their eyeshadows are so richly pigmented! They make a great eyeshadow primer too. If only Ulta carried their line, I’d be set (to spend even more money than I already do at Ulta).
Yes! The ten-page 12-point double-spaced rules are killer for submission (especially with APA citations). I have written several collaborative grants for various programs at my institution —NASA is the best to work with!(TRIO programs are hard because the institution collects low F&A so low priority). I wish my…
Thank you!
Here you go! Be prepared for two days of work (totally worth it):
Thank you — the area I serve also is home to a federal superfund site for lead contamination, so much of what we handle is analogous to what has been ongoing in Flint (cognitive and learning disabilities, birth defects, etc). It’s hard because it’s not well known due to rural isolation and it feels like everyone is…
RANT THREAD; post your rants here! Here is mine:
Epsom salt baths, loose leaf teas as you mentioned, bedtime yoga, elaborate baking projects!
