My program received a $25k grant from NASA for STEM programming which means we have funds to take our students on an Alaska cruise this summer as a capstone experience to view glaciers and Alaskan wildlife! So excited (and nervous but mostly excited)

I wrote my state Democratic Party telling them I’d donate $500 toward a “Republican death count” billboard that kept a running tally of how many people in my state stand to lose healthcare if Republicans loot it to pay for this awful tax bill.

Olaplex no. 3 — it’s a bonding/strengthening hair treatment that has SAVED my hair. I have coarse/curly hair that I heat style, and have been trying to grow it out for ages. Problem is of course that heat wreaks havoc on your hair, and I’d always lose length due to split ends. This stuff is nothing short of

Also in academia, running a federal grant program for the university. We had a similar wage shift last year which is GREAT, but problematic for my budget since the university refuses to pony up any money to raise salaries to where they need to be; instead insisting that we continue to run entirely off of grant funds

If is small consolation, I’m sure, but there are a few Jezzies on here (myself included) that live in deep red areas. It is hard now, but here are two things that help me:

YAY even better — but I definitely get the dread/anticipation. Having a body part REMOVED — especially teeth which are so visceral — is scary especially when there are so so many horror stories about wisdom teeth removal. Good luck (although you won’t need it, it will be easy peasy!)

She is so cute snuggled up in the covers!! Couch-dog-Netflix-binge BFFs for life — you can come over and have some mulled cider and help me eat the Halloween stash I successfully hid from my husband 😎

Oh I totally feel your pain — visiting the dentist is among my least favorite things in life, and I had to have extensive work done in my 20s due to not having dental insurance through my college years and concurrent depression self-neglect stuff.

I make soap and bath bombs and give those to family. I’m done trying to guess what anyone wants and figure these will at least get used. Bath bombs are SUPER EASY to make and all of my relatives (well, female relatives anyway) love them.

I had my last two wisdom teeth out last week (note: I am old at 35 to have this done but they didn’t cause any problems earlier in life so no need — just had a cavity in one recently so finally had them done) and it was SUPER easy. I had been dreading it for weeks since I was only getting lidocaine — and it was easy

I have a big yard but still plant a ton of stuff in pots — mostly experimental plants (things I haven’t grown before) so I can move them around my yard and figure out good sun/placement. Surprisingly I’ve had amazing luck growing both ornamental corn and bamboo in pots, and as a bonus they both grow TALL so they’re an

If it makes a difference I’m remembering a lot of reviews said the sizes ran large since the shirts are unisex sizes — that was also my experience. The shirt had arrived when I returned from my trip, and while I normally wear a women’s large their medium size fit perfectly!

That sounds like a lot of fun!! I have always wanted to go disco roller skating but I think maybe I ought to figure out regular roller skating or blading first 😅

Oh skin treatments are SO nice! I’m always on the lookout for new face masks. What do you like to use? I haven’t really found any sheet masks that work for me so mostly stick to clay.

Thank you!

They are sooo good! I especially loved the passion fruit flavored one!

Hi all! What did you do to treat yourself this week?

I keep hoping a gypsy will put a curse on him that will make his hands shrink every time he lies. Eventually they would get so small he would be unable to Tweet (and by eventually I mean it would take like two days, tops)

It’s absurd that this is so highly regulated by lawmakers, many of whom have a below-middle-school understanding of basic human anatomy. Case in point, in 2015 an Idaho lawmaker, Vito Barbieri, was against doctors being able to provide emergency contraception via telemedicine. In one of the hearings on the matter, he

Right? What was his deal? Does he think he’s likely to get laid more often if more women LOVE Hugh Hefner? Was he making money by defending his memory or something? I just don’t get the super personal direction those responses seemed to take and it didn’t seem like a totally wholesome defense of a famous dead man.
