Lots of Red Wings fan around Windsor and that part of Southwestern Ontario.

Hell, people in Mississauga (i.e., the western end of one of Toronto’s subway lines) and points west root for Detroit, and the ones in Pickering (i.e., the eastern end of that line) and points east are split between rooting for the Canadiens or the Senators.

I believe Windsor fans are split between Wings and Leafs.

I work with a gentleman who grew up in that region. He said his dad was a Detroit fan and he grew up to be a damn Hawks fan. According to him, you either root for the Leafs or hate them and their fans.

Dumb question: do people in, say Windsor, root for the Red Wings? It’s a 4+ hour drive from Toronto but you can basically swim to Detroit from there.
